Holy crap, there’s skunk Baxter again. I think he’s on every popular album recorded in the 70s.

Lead singer/guitarist Randy “California” (born Randy Craig Wolfe) February 20, 1951 - January 2, 1997. Randy drowned in the Pacific Ocean on January 2, 1997 at the age of 45 while rescuing his 12-year-old son Quinn from a rip current near his mother's home at Molokai, Hawaii. He managed to push Quinn (who survived) toward the shore, but Randy didn’t make it. Truly a real mensch.

Great song, great players. I think I saw Bob Welch pn the left. I still have the LPvwhen it first came out. Saw them in Philly at the Spectrum about 1970 I think. They were a very tight band

Just like a WWE narcissist grudge match. The performers and audience are all in with the grift.
So glad I was a teen when this was big. Great memory. Great song.

My first concert, kinda late in life cuz I *was* a music snob. Spirt was first off and I fell in love with 'em...then, believe it, Alice Cooper throwing cymbals into the audience, believe it...then the headliner: Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. Life changed, lolol...

It Looks like George Harrison's or A Bob Dylan Tribute Concert but it's just a regular show for this 18 peice Band , How many guitar players are there ?

If you were successful in the 70’s, an instance of Skunk Baxter would magically appear on stage and sit in on your set, mysteriously disappearing before you had a chance to thank him. Skunks were known to bless multiple shows simultaneously.

I saw them in a small club in Seattle in 1969 or 1970. What a great band. I still have their Spirit album that I play once in a while. As I recall the drummer is Randy California's dad...
