Seeing the curvature of the bow we can easily observe that space-time doesn’t behave normal around Heifetz-Star. Magnetism and gravitation is out of any league

Fantastic. Actually this articulation only possible in very small hall or with sound engineering support I think🤔

It’s a treat to hear Heifetz’ sound “out in the hall” since most of his studio recordings were done with the microphone quite close to the violin. This recording appears to give us the kind of sound a concert attendee might have heard and demonstrates how well Heifetz could project above the orchestra.

The only other recording of his like that that ive found is the final recital one so this is nice to hear

« You didn’t see any problems with re-dubbing »… the fact is that this version has errors in it, while the live version is almost perfect and much more vivid. I don’t see any interest doing that. The charm of the live is the charm of the live. Anyway.

Kim Bomsori is a wonderfully talented and gifted Violinist. I will gladly pay big $$$ to see her play Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center. Her playing the Nielson Concerto is superb. I'm Thrilled to hear this. Great sound. WOW !!!

... containing the famous rhythmical error he alludes to in the masterclass 😊 I prefer this version to the one I'm used to.

Brilliant! Perfection performance! Can't get better than this. And this is a fine work by Ernst Toch. This is a Classic recording. Just wish the cello were a little louder. I love it. The whole thing.

Usually a keyboard concerto, but Bach transcriptions (and reconstructions) always add something new, such is the depth of his music. Kavakos' bowing is about the best in the violin trade, so it adds crispness and vigour.

Maybe the best fiddler of the 20th century. Oistrach pere et fils and Nathan Milstein were also terrific.

I wonder if Heifetz played this by heart without music. Sounds so mature daring and in his peak.
