Lovely. I first heard this by the Kingston Trio in 1959, possibly on their "At Large" album. I have a banjo version that would complement yours.

Nicely done. Is that a Deering Folk Era? I know they had them as a production model many years ago. I believe it had a bigger Bluegrass-Mastertone style tone ring and a tube band instead of the flat band like tubaphone Vegas. Nice sound.

Yes, you are correct. It is a Deering Folk Era Long Neck and a Custom one at that. It has the more intricate John Hartford inlay design on the peg head. It is gold plated and had a resonator and full flange when I purchased it used. Due to also having the tube band like you said, I removed the flange and resonator to covert to open back. Like you said, it has the older Deering no hole Mastertone style flat head tone ring. This one is a one of a kind.

That's great Pat. I've always wanted a bouzouki.

They are fun for sure. I tune it like a 5 string banjo only down a few steps.

A great cover of a wonderful tune, and your skill with the bouzuki (sp) is excellent!

John, you're very close. It's spelled bouzouki. I play one too.

Excellent, but a banjo solo would have been a nice addition. Your clawhammer style is very tasteful.
