That’s crazy I run 20 hours on my 450 racing motocross before I change the oil and it never gets that bad 😂 and the smokers I do it every 10 and still don’t get that kind of color where you riding it at?

Excellent vid. I did the install but added an 11 oz flywheel weight and the up-graded Ricky Stator 70W Stator. The White map is XCW-like now but the Green map did not change.

Just found out KTM is owned by Baja 300 Austrian technicians laid off what the heck is going on? We are told by actual KTM technician they would not touch a KTM anymore with your 10-ft pole KTMs 300 are blowing cylinders off or 2024 Husqvarna was leaking oil so bad out of the shift seal they replaced it twice now. Is this true? Please tell what you know about this

I installed two-stroke performance ERM basic tune mapping is awesome and fuel miles greatly improved I then installed a few weeks later the medium compression head which gave me even more fuel miles and more down on the bottom definitely worth the money to buy the ERM module for the extra $150 so you can tune and it also gives you the codes, also spend the money on the mapping switch Yes it's bullshit $180 but if you ride the woods you definitely might want to tune down that wheel spin after all you just spent 12 grand on new bike

That's dark oil for 10 hours, you must spend a lot of time on the clutch. In my 300 i do it at 40 hours and it's still mostly caramel with a small amount of discoloration from clutch debris in the oil that comes out first (bottom of the sump).

That’s why I do. They don’t fit. Hoping they come out with a revised version. But the old one flex more then the new, I like that as they are less likely to crack.

The longer muffler produces more top end and the shorter mufflers produce better bottom to mid.

That’s crazy I had the exact opposite results. I have the pro circuit 296 which is their spark arrestor basically the same as the FMF. I hated it so much, it made the bottom end feel rich and lethargic. I bought the Spanish racing end cap for the stock silencer and haven’t looked back. 2023 KTM 300 XC tbi.

Because the 300 XC is different than the xcw. I had a 23 300 xc before this bike and the shorty was great. Must be a combo of the mapping and the different dome

All the pros in extreme run long silencers. You’d think they’d want shorties to reduce risk of damage, so there must be some benefit to the longer silencer.

At 3:23 dude says its better than a carb bike... i beg to differ, i have the 2019 tx300 with a lectron carb and its amazing low down bottom all the way to the top and you dont have to tune it because the lectron carb uses a metering rod and automatically self adjusts for different altitudes and temperatures. The 2019 TX300 is light weight, kick start and electric start. It also came with an x-ring chain, so no need to upgrade. The idea of efi, tpi and now tbi is cool, but i think its more about passing euro 5 emissions. Its always fun to watch the videos on the new bikes. Thanks for sharing. Braaaaaaaaap!

The problem with the 2.1 is its made from tin foil, it dints much easier than the stock one. And the mounting brackets are riveted in, not welded, and tear out easily. Total waste of money !! imho

Any less flame outs with the XCW and the slightly larger stock flywheel compared to your XC? Also, any better feeling sliding over logs without the linkage now ?
@TechEnduro
@TechEnduro Ай бұрын
Less flame out than a stock XC for sure. I did put a 9oz flywheel weight on my XC and it made it as good as this. I had a skid plate that covered the linkage on the XC so it was fine. The only time that was a problem is if I slid back on the skid plate hooked onto a route in a technical section.

How many hours on your 300 now? My 2023 with 25hr has started cutting out, like you hit the kill switch. Doesn’t die, just no go when twist the throttle. It’s very random, and dangerous on jumps. Been trying to research what it could be. Have you had any kind of issue like this? Random bogg/cutting out?
@TechEnduro
@TechEnduro Ай бұрын
Almost sounds like you have a short. Or the crank case pressure sensor. I don’t have the 23 300 XC anymore, I now have a 24 XCW
@mark_Hershey
@mark_Hershey Ай бұрын
@@TechEnduro didnt you have a lot of hours on it, regardless you obviously didn’t experience the issue(good). I guess a handful of tbi’s get it, 125, 150,250,and 300. I’ve done a multitude of stuff including checking wire harness, setting tps, changing ccps, changing fuel pump filter…it’s a random thing. Doing mx it kinda makes you hesitant hitting jumps. As much as i hate it, i am going to have dealer hook up and see, but they dont throw codes. Honestly, and it makes most sense, it seems like the tip over sensor is malfunctioning.

Enjoying the KTM content. I was stoked when I learned mine came with the billet clamps. Just a note, the XC-W comes from the factory in the white/soft map. The manual confirms this in the section that talks about the maps. When you plug in the map switch the CANBUS defaults to the green/hot map for some reason or another, but when removed will stay in the map it was last left on. I added a map switch to my XC-W and I noticed immediately a difference going to the green map.
@TechEnduro
@TechEnduro Ай бұрын
Oh, that’s confusing. Thanks!
@onthethrottle7104
@onthethrottle7104 Ай бұрын
Not that it really matters but my bike was defaulted to the green map. I rode it for 40 hours before buying the map switch. Once I purchased the switch and started to use more of the white map for tight tech stuff, yes, it was a noticeable difference. So I don't believe the system defaults to the green setting once you plug in the switch. I've been working on KTM's and other bikes for thirty plus years, the manuals are wrong a LOT.

KYMCO is Taiwan, not China. Big difference. Taiwan is a democracy and a fervent enemy of China. Taiwan makes some of the most advanced computer chips and castings in the world, and it’s just internet hype without actual evidence that the KYMCO cylinders are inferior in any way to the ELKO cylinders. In fact, most of the early TBI cylinders with cracks were ELKO, not KYMCO.

It’s only if you see air bubbles in the oil line. It doesn’t happen most of the time on tip overs but has happened to me, upside down for a while in my case. Otherwise you might starve your bike of lubrication .
