Un TRES BEAU documentaire datant de l'année 2010 ... celle du 150ème anniversaire de la naissance de Gustav Mahler ... Personnellement, la découverte de sa musique - la 10ème symphonie, le 25 octobre 1976; ... dont, cependant, j'avais auparavant déjà entendu des extraits sans connaître son nom - a décidé de la révélation de ma vocation de musicien ...

Yes, it is rare ( peux abondant ) in french.I still find today that Mahler is a rara avis of music, of course it sound all over the world and more than ever, but it is not easy for orchestras to include his music.Of course this may sound weird but still there is people, audience, that consider that his symphonies still have too many notes!!! ( this remember me to some furious comments of Mozart in Salzburg when the authorities , even the Kapelmaister thought of his music ) It is not easy his music and I have personaly waited many years to become a fan.As always you need good years ,but you need sensitivity.Thats all.
