If you ever want to add colored spots onto a surface use uv glue can add coloring to it, then then use a tool that only can drop a small drop. Do as much as you want on your project then use your light to cure it, then do what ever color of powder or that. Be careful to not do too hard because you might dislodge them then fill with resin and let dry.

You only need one drop of glue to thicken resin

I really enjoy your videos. I find them too be very helpful and creative. I was just wondering if maybe you could move the microphone about 10 inches away from wherever it is cause I hear your breathing and other background noises. I mean no disrespect.

Hi I was going to say I have this mould and make gingerbread in it, the icing fills in all the missing bits! I was going to try with resin, but use some caulk or silicone as icing. Happy new year 😊😊

The roof would have fit better if the front and back walls had been fitted inside the side walls; however, one piece of the roof should have been just a little taller (by the thickness of the roof) than the other piece so that it would have created a better peak.

I had a phone holder mold where the two parts wouldn't fit together, but I was able to make the parts fit by using a hot knife to shave off the inside of the slot where the support piece needed to fit. Just shave a little at a time until it fits together.

😊just fyi because of the prized silicone that’s gone into making these awesome molds, my favorite by the way, they will stick quickly to others. So keep plastic in between. I’m sure you’re aware of this already. Lol

I’m glad you discovered Molds and Shapes. I have a collection of their molds and considering the quality they are reasonably priced. I love the gingerbread mold. I bought the bigger ones. Enjoy your molds. I have to get some of those markers they are neater than using paint. They are adorable.

Use a Emery board file or dremel the door on the round curved of the house and tree's

I have this mold. It isn't the best, but it works ok if you pour 2 super thin layers.

Love the finished bowl although I think in hindsight I think Id have left any colour out and just have clear sparkle.Thankyou.❤

Love how it turned out. I did something like this and I learnt not to dome any of it as they need to link together which is a bit obvious, if not for a dummy like me!!!😂 Love the sparkle Diane. Hope you have a good Christmas from Snoopygirl aka Diane x

I have this mold, and I have used it for resin. I knew right away when making it to not dome any of the pieces, especially the trees because they will not go together if you do. Also the house is to look animated (cartoonish) so I think that they meant for it go together short of the sides. I didn't realize that it was Hanzel and Greta until another artist mentioned it as well and it made sense.....LOL. Love the glitters that you chose. -Beverly

The size of the HOUSE is correct. The side pieces angle in at the top, to accommodate the roof pieces. If anything is sized incorrectly, it is the door piece. NOTHING ELSE IS SIZED WRONG.

That is what I like about you is your honesty and not linking things that are no good. Thank you. But you did make it look ok in the end.

I have that mold, however, it is not used for resin. I melt candy to put in the molds and give them out as candy houses. It works great that way. I spray it lightly with some vegetable oil and when I take it out of the mold I just wipe it off a bit. Add some more candy decorations to them and they are ready to go.

Years ago, this was the very first mold I ever bought! OMG, it frustrated me so much. As a new resin artist, I kept thinking I had to be doing something WRONG. Nope, it's just a crappy mold. :( Yours is still pretty, however!

I have just pulled this mould out to use. I used stonecast (made the house for a friend 3yrs ago) had a bit of sanding to do made a wooden door on hinges but it was a struggle sanding the house to fit. Looking at yours I reckon the front and back could be made thinner so the roof fits better at least on the sides. Where the roof meets at the top was a nasty pain in the butt getting it to meet flush, There should be instructions with it along those lines. Thanks for the video not sure if I'll go ahead with the make now, remembering all the extra work.

Hello from Canada! Thank you so much for this video, Diane. Now I know which mold I certainly won't be getting! You have much more patience than I have, that's for sure. Would a little bit of filing or sanding help those trees fit together? Who knows, because by now I would have been chucking the mold in the trash and bouncing the pieces off of the wall! I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Take care.
