Fantastic. And the music is like 3 people in a room talking to one, with mostly good humored chatter (I hear laughter). Does get a little more serious in parts, probably when the instruments are asking about their wives and kids.

Why would this wonderful performance by a Swiss quartet and a Swiss dancer of a Spanish dance with music by an Italian composer trigger a discussion about European greatness versus Indian greatness? I sit here in my Danish village and am utterly confused.

Oops, I forgot to mention the Norwegian guitarist, but then of course the Norwegians are used to be forgotten by their Danish brethren.

Dear @Distraining, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately the cycle hasn’t been published yet, therefore the score is not for sale. We will let everyone know when the arrangements will be published. All the best, Jerzy

What probably most people don't realize is that Bononcini's version was actually an adaptation of an earlier composer the Venetian Cavalli who wrote the first "Xerxes" opera about the king infatuated with the plane tree and Cavalli's version is even more plain (no pun intended!) than Bononcini's. Next you will have people say that they prefer this earliest version over the other two. Cavalli's opera is viewable on You Tube.
