I am just a bedroom player playing for my pleasure only. I have one USA F strat and a G Tribute, both bought used for a very good price. They are nice guitars, but my other guitars aren't worse. I also like my cheap China Squier strat from the 90-ies, the only guitar I bought new, and my very cheap Harley Benton SC 450 plus. My Yamaha 612 is amazing, as my Ibanez RG 370 DX and my PRS Se custom 24 and one more LP-style SPEAR guitar. I admit though that brand names have an influence also on me and if I would sell my Fender and Gibson, what I won't , I could even make a profit. Maybe these expensive guitars are really better than all the others I have, then maybe I am just too stupid to see or feel the differences. I am using an old Boss GT 100 and have about 10 Boss pedals which I put in front of the GT 100. Whether my guitars sound shit or awesome depends on how I use my gear, it doesn't depend on the guitars so much. Anyway, I have found a pleasant sound with that gear which is inspiring me to play. Okay, one needs some good gear, but there is no need to spend thousands and thousands of dollars in order to enjoy your hobby. I am very happy with what I have a my disposal. No need for other gear. That's why I prefer channel with educational content more than those which review new gear. Every month you could see new guitars, amps and pedals. That's just too much, for me at least. Guitar is only one of my hobbies - a very beautiful one indeed, but there are many other nice things to do as well.

Awesome Deftones sounds! I hate the kidney tuners so i bought the Gibson ones and put it on my 2007 Epi LP custom (ugly headstock) and i think it looks much better

I have the 355..its not overpriced.. I can't speak to the les Paul..only the 355..The 355 has ebony fingerboard vs laurel. Grover 18:1 tuners. Custombucker pups wth CTS pots. Semi hollow bodies are a pain to wire. No need to change anything. It's has real mother of pearl. It has a hardshell case. Long neck tenon.. It's a brilliant move by epiphone Gibson. It's fills a void for people who want something better than the cheaper epiphones but don't want to spend 3000.00 on a Gibson. It's much more than a gibson headstock.

Moonwalks are the thing that convinced me to buy the bsd revolution. All I had to see was one fakie manual moonwalk on a manny pad one time and I was like take my money !! 😂

Can you perhaps put out a video on any upgrades that you'd make to these LTD series guitars? Things you might upgrade first..... like pickups, tuners, nut, bridge, electronics?

I’m not a heavy death metal guitarist. I’m more about the pristine cleans and chunky depth of a Les Paul. I do appreciate my 490 and 498 pickups on my black SG and was considering installing a pair on my 2003 Epi Paul just add alil’ bright clean beefy chunk. I also considered upgrading to the ‘inspired by Gibson’ because of the cooler looking headstock. I guess if you want that true ‘Les Paul’ tone you really do need to Gibson burstbuckers!

I’ll be honest. Whatever you’re playing however you’re playing it. I’m surprised that Les Paul is in tune the whole time. Sorry Gibson defences force, you know it’s true.

@DenDenBMX - Great job on improving your axe, dude! Have you ever considered either getting your pick guard painted a similar metallic pink/purple as in your tuners to match the colours a bit more? Personally... I've never been a fan of Gibson's creamy/beige-rotten soy milk coloured pick guards.

I loved pink and blue back in the 90's as well. I dont know about on a LP though. Looks a little clownish, but if it solves the issues, who cares!

That blue and purple color scheme actually looks sick on that guitar. I had the exact same tuning issues with my Les Paul. If you so much as looked at the D or G strings it would go way out of tune. I dicked around with Tusq nuts, those brass bars that pull the strings straight out of the nut, locking tuners, and so on for months. None of it really worked. I finally just took it to a well regarded tech in town who made me a new bone nut. It actually stays in tune now, so I must have been doing something wrong with all the other stuff I tried.

If you can get a pickguard and pickup rings to match the purple that would be awesome!
