What I love about this, one of the many things I love about it, is that it illustrates how addiction is passed down generation to generation. And how addictions such as alcoholism etc create so much dysfunction in families and in society in general. I'm a recovering heroin/opiates addict. What it takes from you and the ones who love you, is far too much.

I Love this story but there needs to be a part two. Hopefully one day later in their career they decide to continue this story. There is no definitive ending in The Salt and the Sea.

I come back to this from time to time, its the only thing I have that shows me what my family was like before. I know its accurate from the stories they tell. I just wish I could have seen it myself.

I grew up across the street from this house. The people who lived there at the time were very quiet, and this house had a lot of mystery behind it. Strange to see in this film now.
