Nim Deathmantle is way too slow and honestly a horrible pick for this, you main removal for triads should be exiling so nothing is going to be hitting the graveyard except for your very limited board wipes. Thornbite is also a bad pick again same reason, triad exiles creatures they never hit the graveyard so thornbite's untap ability will never trigger.

My brain is so molded to building and playing GU it's hard to think of how other colors work. This was hard to watch because I couldn't stop thinking of what else the Simic player could have been doing. I'm not going to list everything, but seeing the Witness and Recollect used to retrieve a couple of fetch-commons was the biggest thing that made me say "Really?"

Thank you for having a short, sweet, and informative video on this. I was unsure if I could put a kaleidostone in my Galazeth deck and you gave me the answer i needed in 5 minutes. Most every other video is about an hour long so i appreciate the helpful content.

I think saints and sinners would be interesting, and a thought is what if there is also a seperate pile for the commandments and one is chosen at the start of the game and effects the entire game in some way, like negating certain types of spells or making it harder to do some other things so the players have to work around it, and it rewards for being creative and stuff, just a thought

After you need atogatog up attack a player to kill em out unholy indenture on him then you can fling him or thud him at another player to kill em then atogatog comes back. That's how I'm playing him. Lol

Why spiritmonger? It's a beast, and I'm not seeing the spirit synergy other than the name

Deadeye doesn't quite work the way you think. Soulbond is a static ability. The ability under the soul bound text is also static which provides an activated ability if the conditions are met. Monstrosity and Renown keywords have more cards to pull rulings from that have similar language. But other things that come to mind are conditional control/animation and the The World Tree. And upon looking into possible other cards for this deck, I had to read the rules for leveler cards which are also static like abilities that don't get copied over. Likewise flip cards do not provide the flipped activated abilities. 711 and 710 respectively in the rule book We can still have Deadeye Navigator in the deck but it should be paired rather than caged.

If you tapped ulamog as part of the Koto’s ability an opponent would still only mill 1 and not 10 like you said

They do not get summoning sickness when they change sides, however because sheoldred had not seen an untap phase on her side of the board yet she still did have summoning sickness.

This seems like the zur deck that has answers that a more mean zur deck wouldn’t let you ask.

I think the average CMC at 4+ is way too high. You should go down to maximum 3.3. I would further recommend adding more free sac outlets such as viscera seer or spawning pit. Most of your sac outlets cost mana and mana can be tight with Mazirek. Both changes would improve play fun and consistency a lot.

Sword of Feast and Famime would be a good add to this deck. Along with Hellkite Charger and Aggrivated Assault. Enable some good combos. Also, Host of the Helm with Aurelia, the Warleader is a good combo too. I run all these in my Kaalia deck. Food 4 thought...👍

Been running Wort for around 8 years. The key is as many good tutors as possible into kiki-jiki and lightning crafter + a sac outlet. Fallback onto Krenko flood with thornbite staff. Plan C is Skirk Fire Marshall.

I'd strongly suggest adding Cloud of Faeries, which acts as smaller Peregrine Drake + when you have Yarok out you can infinitely loop Cloud of Faeries with Dream Stalker or Shrieking Drake for effects that care about ETBs

Watching this match 4 years later lol. Great game, but a few small misplays. Omnath goes from 7 casting cost, to 9, to 11. Not 8 and 10. And you could ha e games him a turn sooner. You could have sacked all of your creatures to di exactly 12 to him. Great game nonetheless

Manabase is really weird. Rupture spite and blossoming sands? Why only one fetchland? otherwise a really nice deck, I’d recommend that ixalan uncommon that’s like cavern of souls, unless you can afford cavern, which is pretty needed in here :p
