We ran this from Aspen on the way to the Land Rover National Rally in Buena Vista in August. You managed to get a couple Range Rovers in your footage going up as you descended from the summit. It is definitely a spectacular drive.

Great video! I'll be able to send this to friends planning to visit us. We can see our house in the still of Independence Monument you have at the beginning.

Thanks for posting this. Unfortunately we couldn't do this with my husband's heart problems, the elevation is just too high so I appreciate getting the views! Did you notice any performance issues with your car at that elevation? I wonder with the air thinner if it does.

Sorry to hear that, we didn’t notice any performance issues with our car. Thank you for your comment

What vehicle were you in ? Such forest roads are ok, so long as it doesn't rain. Even a little bit of rain makes it very muddy and you cannot climb a muddy road. Nor can you drive down a muddy road. Your vehicle will literally Ski off the mountain. I was in a front wheel drive vehicle on a forest road by Cimarron NM. I will never drive on a wet muddy forest road again. I am lucky to be alive, I could have skid off the mountain.

I just was a passenger doing this today and the only thing higher than my elevation was my anxiety on the way up 😂😂 I totally feel you and was thankful the way down was a proper road too. A great time tho!

Absolutely Not! The scenery is pathetic, the homelessness and crime and all those California liberals. Do yourself a favor and don't go any near Tioga.

In 1996, on a one week bus tour, from Salt Lake City to Denver, we briefly stopped at Deadwood, S.D. The #10 saloon looks different & the narrator didnt show the small casinos in town (one owned by Kevin Costner's brother). Even Hickok's & Calamity Jane's gravesites look different! Still, it was great fun to see this actual, historical town!

Was there this month. When you get to the top and turn left there are some phenomenal camping spots that overlook monument valley. Just take the graded dirt road a couple miles and you will see the overlook. It is beautiful. Dont go when it is raining, the road turns to mud.

Thanks for sharing the cost of traveling in California. It is very eye opening: $225.00/night at Mammoth Lakes is a bit steep for me. But then again, I've been told I'm out of touch with reality. Safe Travels.......

Nutrinos ARE a good thing. Please look up what nutrinos exploration is. For the person wondering what the Sanford lab does in the former homes take mine. And what is really weird about this video is I saw myself! I drove past you in a black Dodge Durango! How weird is that!? I hope our little town with a big history was informative and enjoyable. This little pocket of heaven called the BLACK HILLS is overflowing with beauty, wildlife, and unique people. Welcome😊
