You can chop down a tree faster (without having a log of the same type) by holding shift when you chop. You only get the logs I think since the tree doesn't fall over, it just disappears. The ice block turning to a water block is amazing! I guess the metal bucket is still needed to carry lava.
@MrZe4 күн бұрын
Yeah, you COULD use ice to move water sources, however, we figured its kind of an exploit, so we will use ice like that only AFTER we have made a normal bucket.

first of all i love your content, you are so entertaining and genuinely hilarious and this series is fire! im mad at yt for not showing me that you uploaded this vid even though i subed "you need glasses because you don't see the problem" - imma def use it irl from now on i guess that u learnt from the dying from dehydration incident but in case u haven't, preferably don't go alone, also take anything u might need (sticks, stones, saw, wood for boat food for a month, ice, vessels/backpacks should take at least 2/3 of your inventory) and if u go caving (for graphite for example) items may differ (vessels only about a half of inv, pickaxe, pro pickaxe, sword, shield, hammer, mining hammer, ladders and supports, the best armor you can get, torches) for progression: know that you should research thoroughly what you need and what the different ways to get anything are, for example fire bricks can be made in 2 ways and one is much better, and me glancing over the recipe made me waste hours finding full chests worth of kaolinite when i needed much less. love the vid

If you want to make sure you get notified, either click the bell, or join my discord server(select the KZbinNotify role for that), i make a post after every upload, so you CANT miss it :D About the tips you gave - they are all good tips, however, most of the recordings were made like 2ish months ago... We are at red/blue steel right now, but no create or steam power just yet. we are taking it slow, no need to rush. Any tips are appreciated, but I'm not actively seeking them, as we find it fun to just experiment and find out stuff ourselves (for the most part...(unless it's a stupid game mechanic))
@danielrybuk19053 күн бұрын
@@MrZe the only stupid game mechanics i can think of are that latex is not a year round thing (and you need a lot of it, id suggest moving there) and the bloomery misbehaving (you need to break and place it each time). Id suggest to make mechanical press just so that making plates becomes faster and more cost effective, and maybe the fan but you need to move the lava source to your base for that. Anyways most of what i know is from watching other tfg series.

With the other buildmode you could build more foundations at once 49:10
@azofshadowmoreАй бұрын
It isn't your belt shapes, but the belt direction vs the machine output. You keep setting constructors with the output towards the input. IMO unlock base building and start setting up foundations and laying things out in rows to keep track of directions. Enjoy.

@danielrybuk1905Ай бұрын
i liked the vid! love your dynamic pro tip: when cutting down a tree you can place a log of the same type at the bottom and then chop it instead of the tree (it's technically a bug/oversight but it's a time saver and a lot of people have reported it since the pack got uploaded and it wasn't changed so you can assume it's intentionally kept in) and i was gonna comment on mining ores with a hammer but saw the comment you made. third tip is about the progression, make a mechanical press when you get to the steel age, making plates is too time consuming (i made the tfc blast furnace as small as possible just for a bit a steel to make this... then made the max size, totally worth it) (if you need tips on finding kaolinite and graphite i can give you plenty)
@MrZeАй бұрын
A well formulated comment! Thanks for the tips. I did say in the first episode, that there is a bug/exploit for chopping trees, and to me it just doesn't feel right to use something like that. I know it would save time, but it would feel like cheating.

Oh, wow, didn't expect the map creator to watch and comment. Me and my friend have played a lot of co-op maps, and i gotta say, most of them are just the same puzzle with a different build around it. This map however, had so many unique puzzles that really make you think, and the ending part having a timer aspect really made it more intense. My favorite reveal was the library code, its just out there for you to see, but you can't know what it means until you see it from the right angle, so good. I'm very happy to have found your map, great work!

tip: mine ores using the normal hammer. It gives crushed ore which you craft with the hammer in the crafting window into impure dust, which you throw in water to get normal dust. You get wayyy more yield, in most cases exactly 144mb (one whole ingot) and won't clog your inventory with the poor or large versions of raw ore. This is not an oversight but intended behaviour (it's in the quest book) and it's mandatory for getting gem saws for glass working.
@IggnelStanlАй бұрын
you said what i wanted to say to him thanks its really good advise
