Medicine has to be a calling. It takes a minimum of 4 years of undergrad with a GPA of 3.8-4.0, hours of shadowing, volunteer work, etc to get to Med School for another 4 years. MCAT in 510-520+ range. Columbia undergrad costs $360-400k. No guarantee of being admitted to Med School. Residency and Fellowship can take 5-8+ years. Private universities only if parents have money to burn. If stuck Primary Care… that is a dead end. Better off being Finance Bro, drug or device rep, mortgage broker, etc.

Me and my friends are fourth year premeds doing research, working multiple jobs, getting at least 3.96 gpas, volunteering, shadowing, and doing interviews but we are still able to sleep. No excuse, prioritize sleep. You’re seriously gonna wish you had once you get to surgical residency.
