Nice video, appreciate the editing. Not having to watch every single movement. I am wondering how you were able to fill the syringes. 😊
@HandcraftedbyMichelle15 күн бұрын
Hi! Happy the editing worked for you. To fill the syringes you place the tip in the resin and then pull back on the plug and the resin goes in naturally. To release the resin you just push the plug. I hope this helps and answers your question but if not, please feel free to reach back out.

I painted a vase about 1 week ago so naturally it's "cured" to the touch. Now my question is this: Is there a time limit in which I must oven cure? Can I wait until later and bake them all at the same time? Thanks for the info!

Can brushes be used with this Murano paint? Is the technique you showed (applying paint w/applicator tip & then tapping, & tapping, & tapping) the only use for this paint? Does the painted glass have to be baked to be permanent... or can it just be air-dried to be permanent?
@HandcraftedbyMichelleАй бұрын
Hi! Great questions. If you use a brush there will be brush strokes. The only time they recommend a brush is doing ombré. The best method is apply & tap. It has to be baked to be permanent.

As this would include part a, when adding it into a resin mix would you need to include this in the measurements so it still properly mixed overall? Or is it such a small amount of resin that it wouldnt impact the measurement?
@HandcraftedbyMichelleАй бұрын
Hi! Excellent question. No, you would not need your account for this in your measurement. 😊

Truly amazing. Does it have to be oil paint to transfer from the mold to the tile like that? Also once you paint how much time do you have to pour into it and it still transfer well. Sorry but I'm very much a novice and this looked like alchemy!
@HandcraftedbyMichelleАй бұрын
@@7Wounds hello! Great questions and please don’t apologize. The paint has to be oil because it is the only substance that will adhere to the silicone on the mold. Once you have painted the mold, I’ve waited as long as a few days before I’ve actually poured into the mold I painted. I would presume you have anywhere from 3 to 5 days and maybe even longer. Best of luck to you.

I'm a crocheter but love other crafts as well. The pot/bowl turned out beautifully. I would use it as a yarn bowl.😊 Thank you for sharing your experience. One more thought... Instead of sanding the edges, could you have used an iron to sort of melt the edge to make it not rough? (I don't make this craft so I truly don't know)
@HandcraftedbyMichelle4 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you so much for watching the video and for your feedback. With resin if you heat it after it has already cured it just becomes bendable, it doesn’t melt. I’m not sure what temperature you would have to get it to have it become meltable. 😊
@almadolan51704 ай бұрын
Wonderful! Did you do any sanding/ polishing to the finished tile?
@HandcraftedbyMichelle4 ай бұрын
Hi! Great question. I did have a few small areas that were a bit sharp and just used a nail file to smooth them out. Since I did the resin on the bottom and the plaster like material on the top of the pour, there were less areas needing sanding; as opposed to if I had done all resin.

I must be weird, I liked the music. What tool do you use for picking out the resin from the top holes? Just tried my new mold yesterday and can't prise the resin out of the bleed holes in the stopper.
@HandcraftedbyMichelle4 ай бұрын
Hi! These are hard to get the resin out. I used a Cricut weeding tool very carefully because it is sharp and can easily puncture the silicone. Just be careful.

Does anyone know a good place to buy the pen parts for these molds? I’m also looking for ink ball/fillable rollerball options. I purchased some felt tip parts from a wood turning store, but I don’t know yet if they’ll fit, and I also don’t know if they come with the threaded bushings to glue into the cap and body of the pen like the fountain pen options. I don’t know whether or not they’ll fit the threads of the fountain pen kits. The ones I have now do not match.
