Another 120 credit-er here (doing a mix of level 1 and 2)... If you have mental health issues and/or are neurodivergent, Student Finance England's Disabled Student Allowances can fund a computer and various types of software to help with note taking, time management etc and they can also fund Mentoring and Study Skills Tutoring, which I've found invaluable, especially on bad mental health days. The OU's Disability Team are great too - I get comb bound hard copies of materials, transcripts, etc and extra time in exams, but what you can get depends on your needs and circumstances.

I know this was a long time ago but do you think you've benefit financially on going to ou to an actually university in person? Like long term do you think it's cheaper to study with ou?
@naturescape10 Жыл бұрын
The open University is cheaper than going to a traditional, "brick" university.

I love your videos, thanks so much for the insight! I’m going into my second year and going from part time 60 credit modules to full time 60 credit modules, eeeek! I also suffer badly with mental health but I don’t work at the moment so fingers crossed I survive it haha. I’m still feeling like I’m getting into the swing of study tbh… I haven’t seem to have found my way yet with it. I’m studying Education Primary :-)

I love hearing about people who are ahead of me in the course because I think “that’ll be me in a year/2years”! I’ve completed w101 and w102 part time and switching to full time in October for w202 and w203. I got 92 and 89 for my first two modules so I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep up a distinction over all but I’m really nervous !
@ellaharmony_2 жыл бұрын
Ah I’d love to see some study with mes! I just finished my first year (B100) and got a distinction but am going into criminal law next year (w111) can’t wait to see more xx

Thanks for being so straightforward and practical. I have been seeing more videos like this and their titles are misleading, since instead going to the point other KZbinrs share all their experience to then say something with little relevance.

Great video, I’m thinking of doing W203 & EU law together, do you think mixing level 2 and 3 is possible. What text book do you have for EU.
@louisewilford3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if you can mix the 2 levels as I’ve never done it but it does say when applying for modules what you can and cannot mix. The book is EU law seventh edition by Paul Craig & gráinne de búrca

These vlogs are great, don’t stop! I’m a mum of a 3 week old, have 2 puppies and 2 cats and 9 rats, along with run a small business and am doing a bachelors in honours in law, and it is stressy, not something to be romanticised. You keep it so real! Loving it! 💜
