economies of scale: increased scale of production from business growth, lowers the average cost -> cost of production is spread over more units internal economies of scale: changes within the business that allow economies of scale to be reached marketing economies of scale: cost of marketing is spread over more sales -> lowers the average cost of marketing -> firms can reuse marketing material in different geographical locations due to being big (global or national company) purchasing economies of scale: company's grow and expand and buy raw materials from their suppliers in bulk, allowing them to gain discounts which lower the cost per unit technical economies of scale: expanding businesses invest in more advanced technology and machinery allowing them to generate more output within a period of time -> this allows their cost per unit to fall (cost of production is spread over more units) managerial: as a business expands they will attract more specialist recruits that can implement new strategies to generate produce more efficiently - costs spread over more units, lowers the average cost allowing economies of scale to be reached financial: larger firms are perceived as being more trust worthy and reliable due to their size -> gain access to loans with a lower interest rate -> cheaper sources of finance lowers average cost

for the conclusion, i've been told by teachers that the concluding paragraph has to actually introduce a new point (and that has its own chain of analysis and etc). but whenever i check the mark scheme the conclusion is more like a suggestion of what the business should do (with regards to what the answer has suggested). so what exactly should the conclusion be? a new point? a pagraph summarizing the answer and the best option to pick? or something else altogether?

Having just read the original paper, I doubt the theory's usefulness. While the first two stages seem rather definitive to me, from there on, I would insist on more empirical substance. What a business organisation does is rather oscillating between central and decentral structures. So, stage 4 would be the same as 2 but on a larger scale, and 5 the same as 3, also on a larger scale. Also, I would challenge that there's inevitably a crysis between periods of centralization and decentralization. It might be as well a softer process, probably depending on the organisation's culture, which is to a large degree a product of the past successes and failures.

Hi, what exam board is this for? Im currently doing WJEC A level business.
@TakingTheBizАй бұрын
It’s not specifically for WJEC, but it should be transferable between exam boards
@JamieKing-wn1qmАй бұрын
@TakingTheBiz I've been searching for videos for a level business WJEC and haven't found any specific. I would much rather learn from a video than a textbook, so I suppose I'll just go through these videos on your channel.

Please can somebody help me? Failing A level atm please can better students share their methodology that they've been graded on? Or any confident A students? Im looking for ideal answers for questions with 8 & 12 marks but if anybody could manage a whole 9609 paper both AS & A would be so helpful. Please, I will appreciate this so so much. I have to pass for my family.

Hi, congrats btw that's amazing. Could you help me? I really desperately need examples of student answers. I failed Business AS level and need to pass A level in a month. I would be so grateful
@zenixonipad2 ай бұрын
@@FanyusAnonymous go through the videos in the channel that help you understand about how to answer the questions. the format is what you should keep in mind at all times in the papers. AS level is alot easier than A2 since you have shorter questions but more importantly, you need to understand the concepts and the chapters. know the pros and cons, definitions etcs. and sometimes if you get a question that you don’t entirely know the answer of, don’t skip it but instead write what you think would be correct.

making notes from vid feel free to copy and paste x labour productivity -> increase labour productivity -> units produced per worker increases -> costs are spread over a greater number of units -> lower cost per unit -> maintaining same quality of output, but for a lower cost -> improved efficiency -> if we implement business strategies to improve labour productivity -> we can improve efficiency! these strategies include: 0> motivation through financial rewards (promotion, bonus, increased wages), non-financial motivation -> positive working environment etc. -> training workers -> more skilled -> produce a greater number of high quality products in a period of tine -> investment in new tech
