Hi, I have some and don't like them. They color like crayons. A friend bought the same set and it had different colors. She loves hers. I have the 180 set. The numbers wear off quickly. They did not come sharpened like they said. Your coloring is beautiful. TFS

I have both of these pencils and they are both hard work to blend and you cannot get as many layers down as you can with more premium pencils. I will say, totally avoid the Kalour 180 set, its a different quality to the other Kalour sets. Can you please give the title of the books you used for this test? The illustrations are gorgeous and your colouring is beautiful.

love the mushrooms! have you tried toned tan paper with your color pencils? i like to use the tan or grey paper and really makes the colors pop. all the best!
@LuyusArtJourney6 ай бұрын
I’ve tried toned tan and toned blue with colored pencil drawings and I love them. Like you said it really makes the color pop, especially the white. However I haven’t tried that with coloring yet. It’s a great idea 👍

I just love how happy you sounded when you unboxed the stuff you bought, but I need to make a small criticism. During the video you kept showing your home address and not only that is a mistake, but it also considered to be dangerous because you'll never know who will be watching these videos. Now I understand that it's not your first unboxing and I just saw the one you made about the Derwent colored pencils where just showed the tin they came with it and the swatching, so I'm going to assume that you discarded the box that came with it. I'm going to let this go just this one time, but please careful and find ways to cover up your address. I'm sorry if I am came across as nagging, I just want you to be safe. Take care now.

Listening to you and seeing your work makes me realize that I have another five years before I can produce work like yours. I just started with pencils this year but so far it seems that I’m more successful in the collection part of this hobby. Great video, thank you for sharing.

Did you sharpen all of your most recent Prismacolours?
@LuyusArtJourney6 ай бұрын
Yes I did. I used an automatic afmat sharpener and it worked out well except for the 90% cool grey pencil ( it keeps breaking )
@twingytwango69716 ай бұрын
I must disagree with Prismacolours and layering. They might be good for blending but I tried layering and the buildup was awful, after a while it began to feel tacky and sticky. Maybe it’s just me but I’m on the fence about Prismacolours.
@LuyusArtJourney6 ай бұрын
From my own experience going very light at the beginning helps with layering 🙂

Please do more watercolor pencil coloring. I was really impressed by the Winsor Newton, they are pretty much ignored online but they really seemed vibrant and to blend with each other and activate beautifully. Unfortunate that they are not available open stock from what I can find. What is their texture like dry?
@LuyusArtJourney6 ай бұрын
I’d say the texture is “dry” compared to regular colored pencils like Prisma premier and polychromes. But not as dry as a lot of budget pencils. And it’s quite smooth and easy to blend when apply water.
@waymire016 ай бұрын
@@LuyusArtJourney Thank you! WC pencils are more dry than their standard pencil counterparts typically, although I own several I have no issue coloring with wet/dry. Winsor needs to get on the ball and offer us a professional pencil with a larger palette and open stock. I would totally pick up that dark blue if nothing else, what beautiful texture it had.
