There was one tour where Joe was selling "Beards on a Stick" and it was kind of legendary. Wish I'd bought one.

My old band, Bathtub Gin opened up for Cast King at the release party for this album. Our friend, Matt Downer recorded this album, and got it released. Great memory.

I love how around 40:35 the background bell sound changes pitch to match the beat. He manipulated the pitch shifter on his sampler.

I'm watching this on October 9, 2024 as Hurricane Milton makes landfall in Florida, and afraid if my poor old dang roof will hold on thru the night. This song seems oddly appropriate at the moment. Greetings from Northeast Florida to everyone out there ☮️

hope you're alright after all that!

@RoyD1970 Well the roof did leak in a couple spots but at least it didn't blow off. Hurricanes make me extremely anxious and I can't wait till the day I can move to a state that doesn't have them, and is not so Hot 🥵

He and his wife met a sad end, It was the end of an era for Nashville too. He made us laugh. He made us happy. Letter from home, right here next to my heart, heart, heart, then he would find it in his back pocket! Lesson for today: Carry a personal protection pistol, larger than a .22, which I believe Stringbean had. He used it, and missed. As a result, both he and his wife were killed. Practice with your weapon of choice. Gun control means being able to hit your target. My karate instructor, a 7th degree black belt, put it best when one of my classmates thwarted a knife wielding robber at a bus stop. He told us using his best English: "Man have gun, man have knife, give him what he wants, you life more better!."

Just read a letter my uncle wrote my grandma about my other uncle was killed in WW2. And in the letter he said he was listening to Ernest tubbs on the radio. God bless or country and our troops. Them was some hard times back then and those men died for this country and to have people or demons today trying to destroy this country is very sad. Sorry just had to write this down and get it off my chest. God bless, God speed..... ..

It’s interesting that so many people in the 30s through like the 70s had weird speaking voices. Being completely blind, I said a lot of stock by the way someone talks. It’s how I basically determined if you’re pretty or not, her speaking voice was weird. It never really was what I would call pretty But her singing voice is one of the most perfect. The world has ever heard.
