Mike Vartanian is the belt maker Joel referenced at about 16:10. Very talented guy. Mike made several belts including the original Eastern Championship Wrestling belt and the TWA belt.

I have (POSSIBLY) the ONLY known existing recorded broadcast of "Rasslin Radio" from July 1987. Its on youtube. I tried contacting Joel Goodhart, but he vaguely replied back. Wondering what happened to the recordings of Rasslin Radio.

I used to use GoPros with motorized gimbals for ringside/roaming cameras, and a trio of Mevo Start cameras for hard cams: one near entrance, one facing the ring, and another on a 13' tripod aiming down for aerial shots. The Mevo's are great since they can broadcast NDI wirelessly, or over an ethernet port adapter and tie directly into OBS using the NDI plugin. Unfortunately, the GoPros Wi-Fi streaming capability (and battery life) is limited, so they couldn't be used for streaming. I've since switched to using Panasonic AG-CX10's for roaming (which have built-in fill lights that are great for outdoor/night shows), and a Canon Vixia HF G40 for hard cam. Audio quality is great out of all of them and haven't had any issues with clock drift/syncing when editing in Davinci Resolve. And like you, I also use a Rodecaster for commentary. The multitrack recordings are great for leveling everyone's voice individually, as well as taking a feed from the DJ for entrance music and ring mics. I found your video because I was wondering what other producers use at their promotions. 🙂

Damn, wrestling in the snow like that is crazy. We wrestled in the rain a handful of times and it sucked, so I can only imagine how bad the snow must've been.

I also have a commentary set up that I run through my iphone 13 pro max using the blackmagic camera app and I also have a gopro. But I am going to use the idea of facing my phone camera towards commentary.

I use 2 Canon R50's and I use my Canon M Lite for videoing wrestling.
