I see you use 2 brake pads instead of the bleed block that completely spreads out the pistons? From my understanding the bleed block eliminates most of the air from caliper whereas in this case there might be some airpockets?
@AlexeiPavlov
@AlexeiPavlov Ай бұрын
You could also completely unscrew the bleed port from cylinder and screw in another SRAM syringe, that way it be secure when you manipulating the caliper.. I was never able to get such a good bleed as you showing on @11:25

Your video is great, very helpful I did a CCV valve which is pretty much the same thing on an E46 they just call it the crankcase ventilator valve it's an air oil separator just of a different name but I did that and it was harder than this. This is actually very easy looking compared to the BMW 3 series CCV.

What fork were you running on a DH back in the day that inly had 100mm travel? My 1999 Boxxers were 200mm even back in my DH day's! I'm waiting for my trutune to come back in stock for my fox 38s

@@Emtbtoday 1996 Cannondale Super V 4000 DH had just slightly over 100mm travel on the front fork. When Schwinn set me up with a bike it was their first year for the Straight 6 Yeti frame by Mert Lawill. Finding a fork back then that matched the 6 inches of travel was tough and I ended up putting a XYZYX front fork on the frame set that Schwinn gave me.

i picked up the Domain RC 160mm about a month ago from BackCountry on sale for $260 and about 2 weeks ago JensonUSA had all the Domain RC's on sale for $219 which is crazy. I've been thinking of buying a new air spring and converting mine to either 170 or 180mm travel. The air springs are pretty inexpensive at less then $50 but they look like a major pain in the @$$ to install.

Does your spark plug wire socket have a rubber boot around it that pushes firmly into the surround hole around the spark plug? Mine only has an upper rubber “cap” that covers the top of the hole, but no rubber around the plastic wire connector. So it vibrates. I think it’s missing on my unit. I have other brand units that have the rubber that makes a firm seal around that hole and keeps it secure. Any chance you can add some photos of yours?

Great Job. I love that is bad ass but at the same time you can take the lady out for a $100 dinner in it with a collared shirt… I just finish the driver side XMax fender. Open heart surgery for sure. Can you share some pics of the process? I’m wondering if I’m even doing mine right.

I like the hood stickers. Ile for sure do that to mine. About to install the rear Max X fenders flares. Fronts are already done. Looking up vids on the best way to tackle them. Mine may not be as nice as yours but am going to give it a shot. I to like attention to detail. Been building my 98 XJ for 4 years now. Been a work in progress. Last is tell me more about your flat screen radio. I go to have that for mine. Nice Job!

They're the Notch Customs M-Max Fender Flares. They're a hefty $600 USD and require you to cut the pinch welds in the rear well and weld the body back together. Not the easiest install. Fun fact, you can fit 32s without a lift if wanted.
