I first learned about Rebecca Horn quite accidentally at her 1993 retrospective at the Guggenheim NY. I was instantly mesmerized by her work. It made you think. All I can say is that I've not stopped thinking about her work in the past 3 decades and continue to contemplate what I saw and reflect on their sublime beauty. I know of no better example of the power of conceptual art in my personal experience. I'm saddened to learn of her passing recently. In my mind, she lives on.

I presume this is the Lyn Blumenthal who taught me art history at SAIC in '86.

Hello, hope you see this haha. First of all great video! I wanted to ask how was it possible to go and visit the foundation because I emailed twice and I got no reply. I am interested in going since I’m a student who is going a paper on mrs Horn and live nearby but the information about the place online seems little. So I thought I would ask you as a last ditch effort :p

It's good to see sculptors represented and promoted amongst a sea of painters. As well sculpture made from other than refuse.

I started to walk as a google map guide and then began to make art in situ which came from a land art re-connect the effort hill climbing became a mystic experience and an internal-external fight, the artworks photos illustrations became cathartic.

One of the most important artists of the 20 and 21st centuries. What a beautiful lecture about life and Alice's art work.
