Haven’t played it but I don’t know how to feel about the pseudo dark souls combat. I think I prefer the arcade like feel of the old games.

This is definitely better than dark souls combat engine- combos and frame rate are more open and freeing. The frame rate utility is amazing once you learn your opponents attack patterns. Also you can kind of develop some kind of alternate combo strings that kind of break the game mechanics based on the order you input on the controller . I guess this is really the only way the devs could have taken the game because staying as an arcade like game in this new generation is no longer modern? However, the game still maintains some of its arcade features and easter eggs
