The lids are crap. First one lasted only 4 years, cracked around metal mounts and center of the lid. The replacement lid starting to crack after only 10 months. Replacement lids are $275 here in Australia

You trust your leveling jacks to hold the camper up? Why aren't you using a jackstand to hold the weight. Never trust a hydraulic jack to hold weight.

I think if your on the road and moving multiple locations while fulltiming its worth it to get a class c. They typically have a generator built-in, or if it doesn't, you can start the engine and use that to charge the batteries. Also being able to pull up to any location no matter if its raining snowing muddy ect you dont have to get out and go around to your rv just walk to the back and take a nap or make some food ect.

What I'm looking for is maintenance cost! Does having an engine attached increase maintenance cost?

We stayed at a KOA this past summer in Kansas. $71 a night! Really? Just to park our TT for 15 hours. Plus, they didn't have any cable TV. I can see if you have a family with kids. They have plenty to do. But a couple and no kids. Never again. I just stayed at a Hampton Inn and Suites next to an airport to where I was flying from. With my AA discount, I spent $101 for the night. Free breakfast and bottomless coffee.
