Lyrics: Girl behind the screen, the movie I seem to see is hardly there The glass contacts in my eyes make it hard to focus When you step out on the floor your tresses swaying in the piano The fabric of your invisible body is being sewn The fabric of your invisible body being sewn with music Kaite will you come true for me Come by some time when I'm awake Everyone else just lies to me, yeah They say you're a dream Will you step into the light from the screen So that I can make out your shape You don't need to tell me anything because I know what you mean Girl up in the windows let the air and the music inside your room Turn off the tv, stretch your body out as far as it goes The plants you nurtured are all beaming and growing in gratitude The ones forgotten have all withered and they're black as coal They're black now, woman. The ones forgotten have all withered and they're black as coal Kaite will you come true for me Come by some time when I'm awake Everyone else just lies to me They say you're a dream Will you step into the light from the screen So that I can make out your shape You don't need to tell me anything because I know what you mean The rain shall come And corpses become roses There's a hidden beauty finding its way out of everything Kaite will you come true for me Come by some time when I'm awake Everyone else just lies to me, yeah They say you're a dream Will you step into the light from the screen So that I can make out your shape You don't need to tell me anything because I know what you mean Just hold your tongue Don't be so quick to curse them There's a hidden beauty finding its way out of everyone Kaite will you come true for me Come by some time when I'm awake Everyone else just lies to me, yeah They say you're a dream Will you step into the light from the screen So that I can make out your shape You don't need to tell me anything because I know what you mean...

Haha I remember listening to this exact video 10 years ago. Something about this song perfectly captures the experience of walking home in the suburbs at night with a person when it starts raining. The darkness and stillness of the night, the crispness in the air of a fading Summer and encroaching Autumn. The gentle tension in the air as the weather pattern shifts and lets fall the first drops to announce the soft rainclouds passing overhead, and the relief and clarity as the water cleans the air of smoke and dust. The trees standing mute astride the road, bearing silent witness to the familiar world that most pass in a haste to get to their destination to meet their friends or get to work or simply return home for the night. I grew up in a sleepy town between young cities ambitious to become regional centres. The people I lived near would commute to a place that was not their town to work, and there was few enough of them that the roads were rarely filled at night. You could walk on a cloudy, rainy night, past street lamps on cobblestone footpaths, and be completely alone to enjoy the view. Now that I live in a city, I chew the beautiful scenery that man's determined ambition built, and continues to build, with concrete and steel, but I miss the gentle quiet of a sleepy town on the edge of a forest, where a leaf could rest in suburb yards or make it to the city or end up in a river just to float away.

this song takes me back to being 16 or 17 in high school, i'm only 23 but time flies so fast. Sometimes I wish I could hear certain songs for the first time again, ya know? How does this song make you feel?

This part's for my love of old How the rose in your heart you hold Still all the water in your wells won't make it grow Oh the call of the nightingale How I love beneath the ghostly sails We move like gypsies 'neath the mist and beneath the gloom Oh how the river flows Under the ice and snow The keeper of the flame The rose captain knows my name This perfume breath I breathed For you my dear, my love will never leave This part's for my love of new How the bulbs in my heart are true They send the shoots through my fingers into your bones Oh the call of the collared dove How I long to be your one true love We'll move like gypsies 'neath the stars and beneath the moon Oh how the river flows Under the ice and snow The keeper of the flame The rose captain knows our names This perfume breath we breathed For you my dear, my love will never leave Oh the rose captain knows, knows our names Oh the rose captain knows, he knows our names

When I was like, 12, I used to sneak into my sisters room and steal the music off her old desktop. I used to listen to this on the way home from school on my brick of a zune music player my mom got me from goodwill. I forgot about this song for a few years. A year and some change ago my sister was murdered and this song has been playing in my head over the last 6 months. I couldn't quite remember it, just the chorus. I can't describe the feeling I have right now. But thank you.

This song always reminds me of my girlfriend. She and I are in a practically LDR, and I see her once every few months. This song is soft and beautiful and contains hidden strength, just like her.

I met a girl on halloween well she was lost and I was drunk and it was dark and cold out when we left and as we walked the rain started the leaves I've felt with every step and all around around us people slept alone with their dreams the wind came down from out the planes and blew the leaves out through the streets I wondered how far leaves could really fly would they rest in several yards or make it to the city or would they end up in the river just to float away she pointed to a small brick house and said it was where she grew up the lights were out she asked if we could stop for a while her hair was still just getting wet water running down her neck collecting in the hand printed cement beneath her feet apparently there had been a death someone close had nothing left because she hadn't left him in the end I saw her blush when I asked if she always talked like that she said it only happened when she drank and later on I felt her hand slipping into my cold fist she promised me a kiss as soon as we got home her costume had begun to tear she ran ahead and turned to me her laughter echoed through the empty streets
