Lovely story I think I did something similar. I remember being very aware it was the end of the series and I was super sad as a kid. I can still remember. Intrigued to have finally found it.

Omg I loved this! At the end of the series, I went up to my bedroom and cleared a space for the carpet to alight on my bedroom floor, and that the phoenix would be my friend. Didn't happen, did it? Story of my life. I'm 53 now. Finally getting it.

Those strange things that lurk at the back of our subconscious until something gives it a kick. This was pre video so who knows how they ever got it into KZbin?

The reason why this series is so compelling, is that Greek beliefs and traditions/culture/science have been around for thousands of years. The oldest written words ever found dated 7000BC are in Greek. 2500years ago, using a stick and brain power figured out the circumference of the earth. Oh and that it’s round, handy for navigation!. The gods are more appealing because they are more like us.

I saw this series when it was broadcast and the actors were awesome Gary Russell Cyril has left acting but is still connected with television and I have met Gary twice in real life at two sci-fi cons.

Of the 5 seasons of The Muppet Show, this sketch is one of the most memorable. My friends from then middle school and I still do the finger waggle whenever the topic of Muppets comes up.

I'll admit, I did not see Evangelion yet at the time, nor did I developed the habit of watching the credits, so I had no idea this was Miyamura Yuko at the time, although she certainly was memorable. Now looking back, picturing Asuka explaining the rules of Battle Royale with a big smiles is both hilarious and disturbing at the same time, it's no wonder Asuka got issues

Mr. Whipperin1, I cannot thank you enough for making this available on KZbin. I cannot help myself; when I am feeling low and in need of an escape into a fantasy world to satisfy my spiritual side I keep coming back to this magical serial which is by far, my favourite fantasy story of all time. I am a person of science but it does not preclude some deep wonder and longing within me. An absolute masterpiece in my opinion. I cannot "like" it enough. So thankyou again for making my day (again). (And kudos to Michael J. Bird for creating it)!
