Thing puts it’s power down like crazy! Idk if you were taking it easy on the turns or not but I felt like some turns could have been more faster!

Great work! I just came across your channel, this information is super valuable as I am looking to do a manual conversion on my c280 w202. Do you know if the SLK 320 716.6 transmission would mount to the m112 engine?

thinking about doing this to my w209 amg. was it difficult? really wanna go dual exit exhaust but there's no room for pipes cause of the spare wheel well

Have you done it?

@@yokomodrifter no but I figured out I dont need to remove it to go duals, there is enough room for a single y-pipe. however ill have to grind out holes for the exhaust tips cause as of right now there arent any

Where did you source the mil spec style bulkhead connectors please? Learning on how to do my install from yours
Always a good time when I see an upload from you sir! Definitely will plan on something similar when I get a chance to get the longtubes on my C55, looked great on yours and Johan's build as you mentioned and seems to work great too!

I think it would’ve better to spend the time to trim that arch that it flush fitted and then install the new arch in reverse from the back of the panel would’ve save a ton of time with perfection

Thanks so much for putting this out there. I'm planning a similar project and I really appreciate the time you took to put this all together. Do you know if the 6-speed manual from an SLK350 (R171) is also compatible with the M113 engine? Asking because I found one for cheaper than an R170 trans. Thanks!

Awesome progress! Like you said having a system like this makes what is most people's least understood portion of their cars (Electrical systems) a lot easier to visualize and diagnose.. granted a lot of work and understanding needed to make it happen, but the end result being near, things are looking awesome!!!

I stumbled onto your videos too late! I'm about done w/ my C43 w/ the 55 motor swap to the 716 6-Speed. Your videos confirmed much of what I determined about the shifter, prop shaft, and electronics contrary to what others claim will work (don't believe everything you read on the internet - might work on 210s, 208s, 209s, or 203s - but not 202s). I am NOT using the SLK front propshaft - I wanted the larger flange/guido at the front so switched the flange from the 722 to the 716 and lengthening the C43 driveshaft. MB must have made those larger for a reason. Its also very simple to adapt the 716 transmission shift rod via 1 part such that all the shifting is done via a single rod (that pushes/pulls and rotates) and ditch the SLK cable + rod setup. There are better options for the shifter with this mod. I ended up going with an aftermarket shifter predominantly mounted topside (under the center console) instead of underneath in the tunnel. This allows for a more factory placement vs. space issues in the very tight trans tunnel. It's also a much smaller hole to cut in the tunnel. I need to work on the cosmetics of the aftermarket shifter to make it look OEM but that won't be too hard to solve. I've also figured out how to wire the clutch pedal into the starter interrupt, the cruise control cancel, and the reverse lights.
