1st thing, why is all the racking welded?! Seems very unpractical when the whole system is trying to be practical?!?!?

Do all turret trucks like this require water in the batteries?
@dakotaalexander18804 ай бұрын
ALL electric lift trucks need water UNLESS it's a lithium ion battery or non service battery.

At 1:42 in the video it looks like the Aisle Master backs into the racking space as it pulls the skid off the opposite rack. What is the Aisle spacing at this facility? Seems too tight for the Aisle Master if the racks where full.
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian, Great observation. The facility in the video is primarily a Hyster Turret Truck application as they have the best throughput and ease of operation in the wire guided (VNA) Very Narrow Aisle. The purpose of showing the CombiLift Aisle Master is that it can be used as a back up and that it works in a similar size aisle. The specified width of the aisle has a lot of variables. Lift truck manufacturers all advertise a minimum aisle width, however for high throughput operations we often recommend a wider aisle of 6-12” to reduce rack impact and to improve ease of use which translates into maximum throughput. This exact aisle width determination is a conversation of density vs throughput. We invite end users to come to our Papé Warehouse Design Centers in Seattle or Anaheim to drive the exact models contemplated for a new facility in our full scale show room so that you can make the best decision for your facility! Thanks for watching! Papé Material Handling

it is a bit tricky to drive this machine, but it is quite versatile and fast. i have driven what we call a "Bendy" which is basically the same style of machine. it was able to work in a rack space built for a standard hyster combitruck, very narrow aisles

First one seems okay, yet a bit wobbly for my taste. Would never use the second one. Way to many scenarios where things can to terribly wrong in this thing. In a wider aisle maybe, but not like the one in the video.

This lift looks seriously awesome. I've only operated regular counterbalance, reach trucks, and order pickers, also electric pallet jacks and almost a boom truck. I'm watching videos and studying as i'm taking an exam on a slip sheet or push pull lift attachment which i've never used before

@@kathyr2872 it ended up being one day if not even a half a day of can you grab this slipsheet can you pull a pallet down from racking can you put it back up so pretty much just brief operation lol

I've driven a Yale NTA model at my current job but they no longer have the turret truck. The company is rearranging the shelving soon and they currently have a rental Drexel Swing Mast forklift. I find it challenging driving the Drexel model than the NTA model which to me is a much easier forklift to do the job.
