Thanks for you’re video. It brings back great memories. I used to hate diving in strong current, but after visiting Komodo, i’m more relaxed about them. I liked the Shotgun site 🤙

I'm an ssi rescue diver with 34 dives and my last dive was in Feb. 2023 at Maldives. I'll be going to Komodo this July and planning to do Batu Bolong & Shotgun. Will you recommend doing straight these 2 dives after more than a years gap of diving or it'll be all fine?

Hello - great footage. Did you have any trouble bringing your drone into Raja Ampat/Indonesia? Carry on or checked luggage?
@nigelhaines404
@nigelhaines404 9 ай бұрын
Depends on which international carrier you enter Indonesia with. I've taken a camera drone into Indonesia 3 times, twice to Raja Ampat via Jakarta, once into Sulawesi via Singapore. Via Jakarta no problems but drone & especially the batteries needed to all be in carry on. On the Singapore route the carrier insisted the drone (even though it was only a DJI Mini 3 Pro) was in the hold luggage but the batteries were separately carried in carry on, as though any one would attempt to fly a drone in the cabin of the aircraft! Always check carriers' regulations regards taking drones on flights beforehand on their internet sites & you should be good to go, but all drone batteries MUST be in carry on.

do you think comodo is suitable for two PADI open water divers, who have dived in maldives with 10 dives experience? By assuming these two divers will take the advanced PADI in loco
@LiveaboardLife
@LiveaboardLife Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can dive in Komodo with only open water certification, BUT my recommendation is to for sure try to get more experience before you go. I've seen it many times ... divers with not much experience does not enjoy the dives in Komodo that much, because they concentrate on their capabilities when underwater. To fully enjoy these site, you need to be able to fully relax in difficult situations, like very strong currents.

I ve been here in 2018 and tried to dive it again twice but couldn't find an operator that was willing to go there again. What dive center bring you there ? Also love your channel great videos 👍
@LiveaboardLife
@LiveaboardLife Жыл бұрын
I honestly don't remember the dive centre name we used. But I do know there are at least two dive centres in that area. The centre we used did tell us that we are lucky not to have too much current. Apparently it can get VERY dodgy to dive there during full and new moon.
