Andrew is doing such a great job. Even in comparison when he sang during their 2022 tour you can tell he’s improved so much. I hope we get a TCS album where he covers a lot of songs from all 3 eras

Andrew really shines on the Jonny songs but he doesnt do bad on Tilians. He just does Jonnys better, because his voice is at a regular pitch. Not crazy high like Tilians. Its 2 different vocal styles, kinda like Kellin Quinn from Sleeping with Sirens. Tilian sings way higher but my point is itd be hard for anyone to reach that high of a pitch. Even Tilian struggled with it live sometimes but who cares, im a guitarist and i can't play perfectly without ever making a mistake. Tilian overall sounded good live, it was just the last few months or so he didnt sound great but dude had been through alot whether some of that was on his own accord or not. Regardless it can still affect performance or maybe he was sick who knows but overall he did good. I still prefer Andrew juat because he can nail the Jonny songs and i prefer Andrews vocal style over Tilians anyways. For me it felt like it was time for him to go. I mean he'd been in the band like 10 years at that point. Im obviously a Jonny and Kurt fan. I really love Kurt too. And im excited for them to bring back their old heavy funky experimental side like from Deathstar to Happiness and Downtown Battle Mountain 2. Im an OG fan so I have different wants and desires aside from a newer fan which I understand why if you grew up with or started out with listening to the Tilian era, why youd miss him so badly and want him back in the band. For me I grew up awhile ago im old haha so i grew up listening to them when they first started out in 05/06 but it was in 06 I discovered them and put them on my old Ipod nano lol (young gen might not know what that is) Robot with human hair pt 2 And, & I told them I invented Time New Roman were the first songs I ever heard by them. And the rest was history. I loved the Jonny albums and the Kurt albums. I liked Tilian too, kinda fell off come Artifical Selection but came back on Jackpot Juicer But yeah every fan has different preferences based on when they discovered the band and thats ok. Ps: the guitars on Downtown Battle Mountain 2 go CRAZY. If you havent checked it out, you definitely need to. And like 5 times, or play the album 10 times.

I love Andrew. I love Eidola. But this just ain’t it. Andrew was such an amazing talent as back up vocals but he just cannot fill Tilians shoes. Unfortunately this split will hurt both tilian and DGD.

Tillians voice has always been annoying to me. I think some songs are great I just can’t get over how he sounds, I was waiting for the day he left tbh
