Thanks I’ve just got a old scalectrix out of the loft to keep the grandkids occupied at xmas and neither of the cars work. One the cog is missing and the other car has tyre slip I was thinking of gluing the axle but was worried it may cause more harm than good. Great video I wouldn’t of had a clue without your help.

fucking does my head in. it wasn't great to begin with but after 18 months you can hear a battery draining ultra high frequency hiss that murders the battery as soon as the lock is engaged regardless of the alarm being switched on. never buying oxford stuff again, total shit. guy at the bike shop buys em in for a tidy margin.
@ccooper87855 жыл бұрын
Have a different type of screamer and it has started doing the same after 2 weeks. Looks like Oxford send them out with duff batteries. Not the quality brand they were back in the '80s

Beautiful roads, fab weather and a great bike, what more could you ask for eh? What was the route you took from the Lake at Bala to Barmouth? Some pretty impressive views on that one. Not too sure about the shoulder mounted cam mate - but good to try new things out all the same. ; )
@weblefeck6 жыл бұрын
Yeah eventually I'll stop being tight, dig deep and buy a drift and use the Go-pro for additional angles. The route we took is a very minor road, leads from the back of Lake Bala to Dinas, Once you go around the back of the lake there is a small road (looks like someones drive) signed up as "Dinas", it has a 2T weight limit on it. at first it really does feel like a private drive but opens out really nice as you saw.

Where was 'The big puddle'? (reservoir) is it near Matlock bath? I'm going there in the summer and thought I might take that in on the ride.

Mark Horton thats Blithfield Reservoir. Near Uttoxetter, not too far from Matlock just depends which way you're coming from. Nice icecream van there in the summer too

gr8 vlog... open, honest and to the point. There's a bike for everyone out there - so we're all spoilt for choice and we've never had it so good. I had a Bandit 1250 for a couple of years and as a 'Sports Tourer' it ticked a lot of boxes but distance work 2 up for comfort forget it. I personally wouldn't have another so called 'Sports Tourer' again. I loved the motor, it was amazing for real world riding with power exactly where and when you need it however as for comfort - No way. Aching hip joints and numb arses for me and my wife after 1 hour made up our minds. I traded her in last year for a Versys 1000 and I can only say 'It's Frickin amazing'. The same silky smooth, powerful inline four motor with the bonus of a very same riding position as your NC750X. I am totally in love with these style of bikes 'cos you can ride them practically all day in complete comfort - so give me an adventure style bike any day. I have been looking at these NC's for a little while now and I can honestly say I would love one as a second machine mainly to use as a commuter bike and then I can enjoy my Versys as my weekend toy and keep the mileage down preserving her and my investment for my long term enjoyment lol. Keep up the entertaining vlogs mate - thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mark Horton thank you! I would defo recommend at least a test ride on a NC.

Never seen or heard of one of those before and must admit its not my cup of tea. It reminds me of a big scooter. The vfr problem was more than likely the steering head bearings. I would have changed them and persevered. They are a lovely bike to ride.
@Peakwanderer6 жыл бұрын
Is it up to some wildbad touring then? although I think you said you have sold it in your VFR reveal video. Guessing it was a 3.5 litre version too :) petrol capacity obviously, oh what luxury compared to a measly 2.5 litres hey.

The Stile Cop short-cut is definitely a challenge on a sportsbike, I came over there towards the end of last year on my GSXR and thought I'd need to be put in traction for a week afterwards; I'm sure they will be using it as a training stage for the Dakkar next season.

You're right about that bumpy short cut. I'm sure it give me piles it was that bad lol

Nice VFR, got a 2011 myself & have just got a set of the Helibar risers myself & heard you saying you were going to adjust their position, I dont know if you know that you have to be careful that you dont foul your brake cables when turning but if you've got a dremel handy, you can trim a small metal spur of both the clutch & front brake reservoirs, this allows you to undo the reservoir banjo bolts slightly & reroute the cables, also, just in case your still interested in a tinted screen, theres a guy on ebay selling Givi VFR touring screens for £60 new & if you make him a lower offer, he might accept it.

Same the world over - happens on a road I ride/drive home on - people will sit in the left hand lane and then get pissed off when you cruise up the right hand one and merge att he end - and yes there are those that will cut across your nose to stop you. PS: I can't get over how your bike looks like "Felix the cat" from your camera angle. :-) Keep it up WF.
