Would goof off work to get the fried paint off the wheel wells?. It is something I have already. This is a royal pain. Would a car wash pressure washer be strong enough once the paint thinner product is applied? What is the gel stuff you used?

@@treeskier802Line paint removal is definitely my least favorite thing to do!! Goof Off can be used to help loosen up the paint then try to rinse. The gel that I used in the video is Technicians Choice Tec 307. It's available online, just do a Google search. Best would be a pressure washer at home if possible. It takes quiet a while to remove (applying goof off or tec 307 multiple times) If paint is really thick on the wheel wells, it might be easier to just replace them.

I wouldn’t say the paint is really bad on my wheel wells. Wasn’t as bad as the car you have. I’ll give it a try.

@@treeskier802 you can also try a plastic scraper first in the wheels wells to knock off some of the paint. Apply the Goof Off or the gel to a dry surface and let it sit for a little before scraping. I usually let the gel sit for 5 minutes or so on the wheel wells before pressure washing.

Looks so much like my 77 Mustang!! Very few differences. I had so much fun detailing, repairing and driving that Stang. Sold it in 1987 to buy an engagement ring for my wife. Decent investment!

I think at some point PA just decided to stop putting out signs and cones for line painting. Seems very common to see lines with tire tracks through them. Unfortunately for me I must have been one of the first to drive over it because there was no indication of wet paint. Left turn got me too. I didn’t know about the reimbursement. I would have gotten mine professionally cleaned like you did there. Very nice thorough job you did.

@@CallowXayne just about every customer that brings their vehicle in for line paint removal says the same thing......there was no warning of fresh paint. Hopefully it doesn't happen to you again, but now you know you can be reimbursed. Thanks for watching!!

@@JsAutoDetailing Thanks. Can you recommend a foaming car wash for general maintenance on a non-ceramic coated car? I bought a lightly used Audi Q5 from a dealership late last year in a pretty color that really pops when clean (Navarra Blue) and it had been well detailed when I purchased it. It lives in the garage and I may consider having it ceramic coated next year, but for now just want to keep it happy. I wish I lived in your part of PA so you could do the CC, but I live in CA. Your video is very well done and informative. Thanks again

I have a first off the line `73 LWB thats just rotting in my field cause i have no place for it. =T Not only is it a first year model square body but its also a Cheyanne Custom Deluxe. Its real sad, i dont have the money to move it... someone stole a couple cars from another property we have about a mile up the road as well. An absolutely mint 87 Ford E350 Econoline van. Not even a chip in the original paint, fabric all brand new looking on the inside, needed some gas tank work and something with the motor. Very low miles. Big sad... super sad...

I’m just not a big fan of Cragar wheels. Seems like you are dating yourself with that. There are some bad a$$ wheels and tires that are modern but look great on the old cars. And I don’t mean those ugly 25 in rims with hardly any rubber on the tire!

It's a customer's car. I'm not a fan either, but all I did was detail it. Seems to me it was a late 90's early 2000's build. Has a tuned port injection 350 under the hood too. Definitely outdated

@@JsAutoDetailing Please don’t think I was criticizing your work, it was beautiful. Back in the day, I switch from Cragars to Keystones because everyone and there brother had them. And really, if this person loves his Cragars more power to him. That’s what makes us what we are. I’m a Ford guy but I loved the Tri-5’s when I was a teen. If I had it today it would have some modern wheels to my liking. I would also put a new LS crate motor in it to make it brand new as a daily driver.

That is a very base model called a 210 Bel Air it came with a 6-cylinder 258 cubic inch it came with with a 2-speed automatic or a 3-speed on the tree
