It’s risky business fishing off a kayak, I live in Brisbane QLD and fish off a kayak for Bull sharks at night in the Brisbane river. Had one next to the kayak on the line and another jumped onto the front of the kayak which was about 1.5 m. I hadn’t noticed the bait was bouncing into the water on my 2nd rod. I can deal with 1 but not 2. Scared the 💩 out of me. Cudos to this guy for staying calm

Imagine if in the heat of the moment he had dropped his paddle! they would have just kept at him and even if they didn't succeed in capsizing him he would have had to drift further and further out until they left him alone which they might not have done.

Lol, and thats a relatively small/young hammerhead. I doubt the paddle strikes are doing a whole lot to deter the shark but I’d be trying to get in an eye poke or two as well.
