In part you are mistaken. If someone can get access to the back of the BMW nav mount, it unscrews just as easily as the back of the adapter. I have one and I know. Then you lose the nav mount AND the display. Thieves will figure out a way given opportunity and time.

Ya lo instale y me salvo de una actualización mas hecha anteriormente. Pero necesita detalles, no logra distinguir entre la noche y el dia. Aun cuando en el android auto esta configurado de forma automática. Por el resto muy bien. Y para los que preguntan por el software, esta en la web de ellos en un apartado que dice download.

@@ricoel Cuáles configuraciones??? Las del celular o las del carplay??? Si es la del carplay ya se reiniciaron varias veces y las de android están bien, no hay nada de malo. En otros dispositivos anda bien, es solo en este carplay que no reconoce la noche del día

Good video mate. I had the same issue with carpuride. Remove the mounting screws, applied threadlock and reinstalled. Has been good so far

No, they are different. C7-W is andorid OS 8.1 with Quad Core CPU. C7 untra is andorid 12 OS with Octa Core CPU.

It's very disturbing that with former firmware versions, we could customize the logo by ourselves, without any form of extra fee, and now we have to pay for it (about $16). You removed a feature from the baseset, to make us pay for it elsewhere. That's ugly. I've just bought a C7 II, and am considering sending it back for this only reason.

Hi I cannot download latest firmware "C7 II CarPlay1024_LP_EN_20231202" from the website. The link bring to old version. I have issue with the microfone of my Midland BTX2 Pro when I make calls. On the other side they cannot hear me, my voice break out. Any idea how to fox this? My iphone is not connect to the interphone. Any link for updated firmware? thanks a lot, Marco.

Hello when connecting my C7 it is always on night mode and needed to change manually how can I put on automatic? In setting only option Automatic what I choose and night mode. I make the changes clicking on top of the screen on the moon or sun sign.

C7 day and night mode should be changed manually. C7 II will be atomically.

I have updated the device described above to the 20231202. Ricoel support was ok when answering my questions. Nevertheless, I have noticed that the light sensor works at first, but it fails to work after the device is unplugged for a while and then plugged in again. Resetting to factory defaults restores the functionality. Will test more

These are crap. They are not "waterproof" and will fail within 24 hours of being subject to any water spray. Do not buy for use on a motorcycle.

@@ricoelThe point of failure was the voltage regulator. If you haven't, you should test this device for water resistance while connected to the pogo pin power plug.
