Yeah well we saw half of Ensiferum's set, but it was awesome to get to hang out and chat to the Tyr guys for a couple of hours. They were lovely!

If you come to the UK, then Manchester is a good place for metal, that is where we live. Played a gig in Madrid at a place called Sala Silikona which was a pretty cool venue. Unfortunately didn't get to go out and see much of the city, it was the final day of a tour and we were all really tired.

Great video. You missed the Robinsons brewery though..that's where Iron Maiden's Trooper beer is made. Bruce Dickinson visits there quite often. I'm a big metal head too. I live in the area if you ever return and need a tour guide. Happy new year and keep on rocking 🤟

That metal bar used to be a retro gamer bar called glitch, retro arcades Pac-Man Popeye defender etc and booths with PlayStations Xbox and switches . Didn’t take off though . Stockport used to have loads more bars and night life . All gone . On the market is probably the best part now , foodie Friday is worth a visit . You 2 would of loved roughlys , put on decent outdoor gigs for charity 👌❤️ and the live bands etc were always decent

Wow, it seemed as if Stockport was buzzing back in the day, it's such a shame that most of it has died out. I saw about the Glitch bar, it looked pretty awesome. Maybe there wasn't enough draw for it though. I'm hoping the Holy Diver survives! @@heavymetalhikers3747 I was around in the late 90s and early 00s stockport, it was very rough, stabbings and fights everywhere! Wouldn't say it was buzzing, for that you'd go into Manchester, but it did have cheesey nightclubs like Volts discoteque and later Heaven and hell. But its a lot more civilised now!

Oh I understand that too well! I used to work in a warehouse, the shutter doors were open most of the time, and the heaters were so old that they rarely worked. So in the winter it would be freezing, and in the summer it would be boiling 😭😅I'm sorry that you have to put up with those conditions, it's awful being uncomfortable at work 😱🙏 -Amber

There's a new metal/goth/horror themed bar in Birmingham called 'Merlins' it's definitely worth a night or two there. They have a really good DJ from New York, the place is up and coming.

I went (solo) to Vienna Metal Meeting 2023, its a good one or two festival (depending if you go to the pre party show, I did because Tankard were playing). Usually combines bands doing tours around Europe (something like one all-star lineup tour to limited cities) and some one off bands. Its a cool venue. I stayed at the Travel Lodge across the road, but public transport is very accessible from in and around Vienna and late enough so you could stay somewhere else in the city. Plus lots of history around the place to do site seeing in the city itself

Have done Bloodstock the last 4 years as well as Download, DL has outpriced me and I was fed up of the distance between areas too, barely managed to get the installment plan for Bloodstock but I always wanted to do Metal Days fest, I think it's changed to Tolminator now but Wyatts metal is a good youtube page with some ideas on fests if any help.

There's a small festival in Gateshead near Newcastle the following week to Bloodstock called Get Heavy Fest for UK based. Pitfest from what I've seen is a good one over seas

One festival id love to do is wacken but it sells out litteraly straight away , durham was supposed to have a festival earlier this year for the first time but it fell apart from management side of things
