First we started with IXL I seen my 7 & 16 year old didn’t care for it so I asked them did they want to work from just workbooks and KZbin they said yes. I found that we wasn’t connecting as before when we did IXL so we’re on the same page now. It’s a continuous journey that I love!

You sitting on the couch with a book behind your head… if that’s not homeschool, I don’t know what is. My daughter came out in tears after I picked her up from art class today. Your videos always come at the right time, so thankful I found your page.

We started our year in July so we can be done by the end of April! So far it’s okay they still feel it’s break time but I don’t push hard just as long as they’re learning! Thanks for sharing

That’s right. Learning happens all the time, because of or despite us. 🤪 I hope the kiddos get in gear soon so you can meet your April deadline. They’ll be glad come that time!

Organizing and decluttering truly is such a game changer. I remember early in the first few homeschool years having a closet full of supplies/resources/supplements/curriculums/etc. and being so so overwhelmed I dreaded going into the space. I think sometimes we get told you need to have ALL THE THINGS in order to have a "good" homeschool, but you don't. You just need what you need because the best homeschool space/resources are the usable ones! p.s. my daughter says you have the most calming voice and she just wants to listen to you talk.
@theintuitivehomeschoolerАй бұрын
Same about having all the things in the beginning. What a waste of time and money. 🥴 And I love how you put it - usable space is the goal! 🙌🏾 Tell your daughter that I said thank you! No one has ever said that about my voice. 😆🥹

Do you have a spreadsheet for the history layout? How do you accelerate in different subjects? I have a senior this year and we will need to do this in order for him to graduate on time. We had unforeseen health issues the past 3 years. We are just coming up from all of that and I want him to finish strong and feel accomplished. Thank you for your videos.

We tried several but they weren't good fits at the time. She may go back to therapy at some point but she’s doing ok right now. I'm glad your son’s is working out. My second son was in ST for years and speaks well.

She has way more words for sure, but she’s still very speech-delayed. She making progress little by little, and that’s all that matters.

I really enjoyed this podcast... I have raised my children and assisted in raising many of my grandchildren but I truly love watching KZbin videos of large families whom homestead and homeschool. I have watched Our Tribe Of Many for years now and truly love Sarah and Solo and all of their beautiful children and extended family members. This is the first time that I have watched your podcast and loved the sweet way you interviewed Sarah and I look forward to watching your upcoming podcasts. Thank you for your sweet spirit sister ❤.

Awe.... Sarah is my favorite person on KZbin. She is so down to earth, friendly & I love her parenting style. Actually her & Solo's parenting. Their children are really nice kids too. They manage their home effortlessly & watching them grow their lives, now on the homestead, is so fun. This interview was great.❤ Oh & she is ALWAYS smiling her beautiful smile... 😅

How do you do this with a 2 year old and a first grader? What do you do with them the rest of the day after they finished school? Do you have any mom time?
@theintuitivehomeschooler7 ай бұрын
I don't. 😆 For young children, I don't require schoolwork and allow them to learn through play. I usually have workbooks in case they're interested in more formal learning, but it isn't a requirement. When we finish school, the kids may have extracurricular classes, go on field trips or run errands with me (library, stores, etc.), or have free time to go outside or have screen time. I'm not adamant about them doing anything in particular, especially now that they're older. I had much mom time before I had my baby four months ago. 😆 That's all changed now. But, when I had all younger kids (3 under 7,) finding time for myself was challenging. What worked was getting up early and taking advantage of when my husband was home to leave for a bit. I wasn't the best at it, but I tried. 😬
