I find your video is totally irresponsible and dangerous. There should be a fire extinguisher sitting next to that guitar, in case it catches fire playing like that! LoL!

What’s your amp setup on this? Looks like a quilter toneblock 202 into the shobud being used as a cab? Killer tone dawg

Looks like and early 70's Sho-Bud amp.

It’s a quilter as the power amp with the shobud as a cab and preamp 🙂

Are you learning to play pedal steel? A lot of good steel players are good guitar players also.

@@EricEllis-b2m Just a bit of lap steel for me. I'm a leftie so a pedal steel would be an expensive custom job!
@EricEllis-b2mАй бұрын
@@alanredversangel I actually met a fellow about 20 years ago that played pedal steel left handed on a right handed guitar. He worked the pedals with his heels. And played pretty well too. His dad built a left handed guitar for him but he had a hard time playing it because he was so used to playing a right handed steel.

Outstanding! One of Merle's all time greats. --- I think that was Buddy Emmons on pedal steal. Ralph Mooney was the steal player on the record. Both GREAT players. --- I'm partial to Merle's early tunes, more than the later tunes. This song, "Bottle Let me Down", and "Emptiest Arms in the World", are some of my all-time favorites.
@Kan-o-tex6 ай бұрын
Not sure but I think that might be Fuzzy Owen on the steel, not Emmons.
@RockReynolds6 ай бұрын
@@Kan-o-tex Hi Kan-o-tex! I stand corrected. I'll pay more attention to the late Fuzzy Owens. I'm more used to hearing Ralph Mooney's name associated with Merle. Thanks for the correction! I hate to misidentify musicians. Rock
@Kan-o-tex6 ай бұрын
@@RockReynolds For sure, Ralph Mooney and Norm Hamlet. I remember seeing Fuzzy in old photos but I was surprised to see him playing live with Merle at that point in his career. Always good to see any footage of the amazing Roy Nichols, too. Those were golden years for country music. I had no idea when I was growing up in OKC that Buck Owens was filming a syndicated show there.
