Hi. An electric fan: what a clever idea! This is the first electric fan modification that i see on a nitro RC. Normally, we should not have to do that since a good tuning is supposed to provide enough cooling. However, i bash my eb4 in taller grass and the engine has to work substantially harder and therefire gets hotter. Not the best thing to do with a nitro. But a cooling fan modification like yours could help preventing the engine to overheat and cease. In your build, is the electric fan always on or somehow controlled by a temperature switch mounted on the engine? How efficient is the cooling?

The TU is a really good engine. Might blow a headgasket but just replace it without metalwork and you're good to go. Also, a healthy 1.1 is usually >60 hp so probably you gained nothing with the mods.

Kitch from the youtube channel "UPnDOWN" recently put his 1.1 on the Dyno and it made 68.something hp completely stock and over 70hp with the intake hose infront of the filter removed so it's possible that he may have even lost some.

Yeah, you will never find a genuine Thundertiger one anymore unfortunatly. The best and most simple way is to buy a cheap chinese copy but with the better quality string and then buy a decent one way bearing. Its the one way bearing that is the most important thing so dont use a cheap one of those. Ebay is good for the parts. Hi. Yeah the .36 is a bit of a beast and can be very fussy on tuning but yeah thr Force .28 is a great engine, especially as a replacement for stsndard. Not saying you had it wrong but make sure your gaps between drive train is correct, if its even slightly too big then even the .28 will shred gears, the drive train on the EB4 S3 is not as heavy duty or durable as on the S2. Good luck.😉

Hello Sir, I stopped watching when I jumped off my chair when you dry fired your air rifle. It absolutely amazes me. When you've gone to all the trouble to restore your air rifle, you then go and shoot it without a pellet inside the barrel. The pellet provides a resistance for your piston as it belts through the compression chamber, eventually propelling the pellet, where the piston comes to a stop. No pellet means no resistance for the piston, meaning it will smash against the onside of the transfer port ruining the internals. However, on the bright side, you know how to restore your rifle, it'll just require doing again. One thing you never, ever do if you look after your air rifles, is fire them without a pellet. Good luck for the remainder of your show.
@crazyeyes744 Жыл бұрын
You are correct, it can damage the rifle but only if done repetitvaly. I only fired it dry once for the sake of this video.😉
@ianwoods1384 Жыл бұрын
Hello Sir, Thank you for your respectful reply. I respect your opinion. However, when you look at the power of the spring thrusting forward, I can't see any point at all dry firing an air rifle. There's no need and no point as far as I'm concerned. My air rifles are my heartbeat and dry firing any air rifle is something I'd never, ever do.

Yeah they are great cars, very durable and strong engines. Pull starts do tend to vary in how long they last but usually if you are having lots snap regular its due to the engine running much too rich and soaking the pull start string in fuel. Exactly that, its purely for the engine to breath it allows crankcase fumes to escape the engine. Usually there is a return pipe back to the inlet but this is not needed once a breater filter is fitted.

@crazyeyes7442 жыл бұрын
Hi. I dont think the S3 tank will fit but you can repair your tank if its not totally broken in half or anything. Best way to re-seal it is to take the tank out and fully clean it of any fuel, then find the cracked area and with a lighter or a very small blow torch you can heat the plastic over the cracked area until it goes like glue/soft and then rub your finger quickly over the area to push the soft plastic back together and that should seal the crack. Just take your time.😉
