One thing that I think gets forgotten about this show is how hard they were touring at this point and the impact it was clearly having. This was their 6th show in a row and their 15th show in 17 days so it's perhaps not surprising that his voice isn't so good and he's not too enthused to be there.

say what you want about SM's mood on this day but his guitar playing is on point. At that point between noisy slush and melody that I absolutely adore

I love the way they shred this song tbh, probably the best version of it they did.

I think Wowee Zowee is probably their best album. Crooked Rain is rock and roll. but Wowee is so far out there.

It’s not even my favourite (still ranks high) but I know exactly what you mean, it has such an allure - you just kind of feel it’s presence and spirit

@no98765 Жыл бұрын
I know what the original sounds like and while this version is obviously a disaster I quite enjoy it and Bob kept it going in a way that really shows the bands sense of humor even if Stephen wasn't feeling it at all

Now what about the voice of Stephen Malkmus, how did it get so coarse? I wonder if the tour made him sound so hoarse? Well, I know him, and it did! And your my fact-checkin’ kid…
