Hi Carol-Ann... I am 86yrs old... I adore making cards and absolutely love Lavinia stamps... what I would lo ve to know is where you can buy those large brushes that you do the sky with as it is much faster than felt pad or smaller brushes... I need your help please 🙏😊❤
@carolanncrafting5 күн бұрын
Oh that fills my heart with joy that you are still enjoying crafting at 86! How wonderful. The brushes are Imala ones. Get them whilst you can as I don't think they will restock these....www.howtocraftnetwork.co.uk/product/imala-large-area-blending-brush-collection---180123a

Another lovely card Carol-Ann... would it be better to do the Northern lights before doing the sky? I must have a play and see what happens 😊❤❤

No do the sky first as the water lightens the distress oxide so you can add colours xx Have a play and see which works best for you my lovely xx

I love the design of this card Carol-Ann and also the verse... I have always used a fan brush to flick the snow on... works well but it really is a beautiful card... thank you😊❤❤
@carolanncrafting5 күн бұрын
Thankyou so much. Yes I use fan brush sometimes. depends how thick I want the white. That Luma is quite thick so I have to water it down a bit to fan flick it. 😀

Hi Carol Ann, I have tried to reproduce your card but my stamping keeps going paler on top of oxide background. I have restamped but still pale, any helpful hints.? Thanks Kx
@carolanncrafting5 күн бұрын
Hi Kathryn , I would suggest you dry it before stamping. Are you using a stamping platform too which is better as you can keep re inking the stamp. I use Versafine Claire Shady Lane ink pad xx Hope this helps xx

Love this technique. Do you need to use distress ink for this to work?
@carolanncrafting8 күн бұрын
Yes sorry I should have mentioned that. The oxides let you bleach out. You can use normal inks if you use actual bleach but not sure how that may affect your stamps.. xxx
