Passion Pit has a line that's like this, "please don't know me as your friend" I wonder if it's inspired by.

Remembering Lee Hazlewood born on July 9, 1929. He was an American country and pop singer, songwriter, and record producer, most widely known for his work with guitarist Duane Eddy during the late 1950s and singer Nancy Sinatra in the 1960s and 1970s. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Hazlewood

There is an extended version of this video somewhere that includes an interview with the Crystals at the end. Can you find that? Thanks!

Anyone know what the story of this song is. I think it's about someone going by dr Doom who was writing a paper for a psychology class in school and dropped acid and wrote down what he could. Hence " you left some empty. I hope your feeling better

I think I read somewhere that it was about Bob Dylan, and connected somehow to their cover of "It's all over know baby blue". But I cannot find the reference anymore - if it ever existed outside my mind.

That's not the Elevators. Flutes, no jug, no Rocky. At least not the classic Elevators. The more I listen it does sound like Stacy's guitar.

Years ago I used to go cycling with a guy and his girlfriend. He was not from this area so I sort of showed him the sights. Particularly an old Velodrome in a park left-over from back when competitive cycling was as big a deal then as Hockey and other such things are now. At one point we were discussing favorite tunes from back in the days of our misspent youths. He mentioned this tune/group. I'd never heard of 'em and, frankly, I thought he just made something up to see if I'd respond "oh yeah they were the best" or something to that effect. Maybe this was never played on the radio in this market but was where he grew up or something. It's quite thought-provoking. It makes me sorry I never heard it earlier. Hey Dave, wherever you are now, sorry for thinking you were just pranking/testing me.

Will anyone else admit they’ve always hated the jug? Not all that fond of T. Hall’s lyrics either. But, my oh my, can these guys play!!! I’ve loved it all since AM radio in 1966, all except for Tommy.

I love how certain songs. In the right mood and mind set. You can almost feel the room it was recorded in (especially on psychedelics) My mind feels cloudy after this one lol.

I don't need a suit of adamantium to fuck around and destroy lives. I'm already Dr Doom with my regular human bones. Batman is just a guy, but he's formidable. All he has to do is be able to kick your ass. I think that's within the realm of possibility. We may need some cryptonite depending on who we're talking about, but we all have our weaknesses. I think Batman and Daredevil are about on par with each other. Theyre just a guy, but they're a little madder at the world than most of us. One guy got blinded while his dad died in front of him, and that's more or less what happened to me.(I saw my father die In front of me but I didnt get powers).
