How did you get it to stay still on the dash of your Tesla?

It wasn't fixed in this short test. It holds still, if not accelerates, and brakes rapidly. Later I secured it to the windshield using a suction cup.

Yes, you can use an RJ45 cable to connect any external router. I recommend switching the built-in Starlink router to the bypass mode. Your external router should be configured to auto ip/dhcp client mode.

Does the mini support PoE? If someone requires an Ethernet cable, it would be nice if a separate DC cable wasn't required. I was also thinking if the router board has PoE, perhaps they could use the same router board as the indoor router, reusing the supplied AC adapter and power jack. (PD/PSE would be swapped so config is necessary, alternatively use passive.) Then a single Ethernet cable could go to the Mini outside.

SpaceX designs some of the best hardware ever... how on earth could they design such a horrible pipe adapter mount? You can tell they farmed this design out to some cheap Chinese company. There was already a recall on this pipe mount as it's prone to crack. No way it's going to hold up in a high wind. Elon should fire whoever was involved in the design & testing of the crappy pipe adapter mount.

What is the connection strength like compared to the previous generation? I have my Starlink on my campervan and move country to country so rely on the dish being able to move around and point itself in the right direction to find the satellite. Do you think this new dish would work flat mounted on the top of a vehicle? Or would the previous generation work better because it can orientate itself toward the satellite with its motors?
