Thank you. I am trying to convey the message of the Qur'an through music and the goal of its teachings is to set up a just social and economic system where everyone will be treated equally. Unlike the Gladiator song of the same title, where death freed Maximus from his injustices, the freedom envisaged in the Qur'an would happen in this existence.

Allah is the Arabic version of the Bible term used for God, so is the God of those mentiioned. It is generally thought that Elohim is derived from eloah,[4][5][6][7][8][9] the latter being an expanded form of the Northwest Semitic noun 'il.[15][16] The related nouns eloah (אלוה) and el (אֵל) are used as proper names or as generics, in which case they are interchangeable with elohim.[16] The term contains an added heh as third radical to the biconsonantal root. Discussions of the etymology of elohim essentially concern this expansion. An exact cognate outside of Hebrew is found in Ugaritic ʾlhm,[15] the family of El, the creator god and chief deity of the Canaanite pantheon, in Biblical Aramaic ʼĔlāhā and later Syriac Alaha ("God"), and in Arabic ʾilāh ("god, deity") (or Allah as "The [single] God").[15] "El" (the basis for the extended root ʾlh) is usually derived from a root meaning "to be strong" and/or "to be in front".[16]

Salam Brother. You are absolutely correct about following the religion of Abraham. You want to check out the video I just made: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5aqlaaeYqh5oMU It confirms without a doubt that following the religion of Abraham does not include his ritual practices. It's a hour video but you will love it. And see irrefutable verses that prove exactly what you are saying. I also go over Quranic proof Abraham was never at the Kaaba as they claim. God Willing

Ruku means to accept in Arabic and Sajdah means to do, carry out in Arabic . In Persian, ruku means to bow to kneel and Sajdah means to put your head on ground . Since the Quran was revealed in Arabic language so take the Arabic language meanings not the Persian language

Thank you for your comment. You have highlighted a major problem in Qur'an understanding, that of taking other meanings of Qur'anic Arabic words, thus distorting the Word of Allah to words of mostly Persians. Unfortunately, the majority of 'muslims' will carry on with their rituals when it is hearts and minds following the Teachings of Allah that we are supposed to get from His Book.

During Salat, Why do they greet the Prophet (S) as if he were sitting right in front of us? Salat is supposed to neither loud or too soft but a middle tone is advised. Why do we then go through Salat quietly during two Salats in the Masjid and during all at home? We are not supposed to attend Salat if our minds are messed up and we don’t know what we are saying. Other than Arabs most Muslims recite memorized verses of the Quran and not even aware what they mean! Seems to me during the life of the Prophet, Salat meetings were held where Quran would be shared. In those days they did not have printed Qurans all over besides Quran was being revealed in stages and shared with the community. The Salat meetings of unbelievers were described as such where whistling and clapping was done (having no substance)

*Who are الْمُصَلِّينَ the Musalleen ?* Is it those who observe the ritual prayers ? Indeed, "SALAT" prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do. *Fulfill Pledges, promises:* 70:32 (Al Musalleen are those) who honor their trust and promises, Clarification : [2:177] establish "SALAT", and contribute towards purification, AND FULFILL THE PLEDGES/PROMISES MADE BY THEM. *Truthful Testimony* 70:33 And (Al Musalleen are those) who testify to what they have witnessed, Clarification : [5:106] O you who believe, witnessing shall be done if death is approaching one of you and a will is being made, by two among you who are equitable. If you have gone forth in the land, and death is approaching, then any two may suffice - if you have a doubt regarding them, then detain them after making the *SALAT,* and they will swear by God: "We will not purchase with it any price, even if it was from a near relative, and we will not conceal the testimony of God, else we are of the sinners." Is it those who observe the ritual prayers ? وَكَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ And it is such that We explain the revelations, and point out the way of the criminals.(6:55) Quran Only Peace

[74:48] No intercessor's plea will benefit them now. [74:49] What is the matter with them? Why do they turn away from the warning, [74:50] like frightened donkeys [74:51] fleeing from a lion? [74:52] Each one of them demands that a scripture be sent down to him and unrolled before his very eyes- [74:53] No! Truly they have no fear of the life to come- [74:54] but truly this is a reminder. Peace and Wholeness be responsibly upon you. May I ask what's with the additions in parenthesis? This is distortion. Also you use the romanised word Muslim which is a noun/adjective, different to the word in القرءآن which is مسلم and is an active participle of a verb
@truehikma2 жыл бұрын
The parenthesis additions are meant to elucidate the meaning of the preceding sentence/verse by the translator. Many words are concepts that a simple translation may not give a full meaning to and it is not 'adding' in order to distort the Qur'an but explaining it. Muslim is the generally understood word for those who should be submitting to Allah and is rendered as such in the translation.

Surah 112. Al-Ikhlas - The Pure Monotheism Author’s note: This a very brief Surah that very forcefully and clearly expounds strict Monotheism, nothing confusing about it as Trinity, Dualism or any shade of Polytheism. With the Glorious Name of God, the Instant and Sustaining Source of all Mercy and Kindness 112:1 Say, "He is God, the One and Unique! [He is Unique in His Essence and Attributes and He alone is the Sovereign laws-Giver in the Universe. ‘Wahid’ = One. ‘Al-Ahad’ = The Unique] 112:2 God is Absolutely Independent. [Samad = Absolute, Eternal, Unique, Absolutely Independent Lord, Perfect, the Uncaused Cause of all that exists] 112:3 He begets not, nor is He begotten. 112:4 And there is absolutely none like Him."

The literal turning of the hand white is based upon the Bible story and the original Hebrew may well be allegorical but has been lost in translation which has happened to the Qur'an. All good... except for #7 _"the economic order of Zakat"_ which I am not too sure of has everything to do with economics because the way I understand it that when you *"stand up to establish the Divinely Ordained System of Life as is written in the Quran"* and you do not add or subtract anything from the verses of the Quran then you would continue to grow as a good person and give growth to a good & prosperous community. Just my 2-cents worth. Anyway, for what it is worth... "stand up to establish the Divinely Ordained System of Life as is written in the Quran" and you do not add or subtract anything from the verses of the Quran then you would continue to grow as a good person and give growth to a good & prosperous community." This is perfectly acceptable but as I understand zakat it also implies 'purifying' the means of obtaining, using and circulating money in society. #7 would be one of those universal principles given to all Messengers to reform their respective societies and now world-wide with the Qur'an, the universal Guidance for mankind. "Real McCoy" is what I try to present by finding out what makes sense to me of the Qur'an from whatever source/scholar/historian. There is nobody without an observer in it! Everything is a possibility that became a stabilized reality! Glory be to the Undefinable, Causer of Existence and Stabilizer of Matter! That has given the right way of living for man's subconscious, and by silence waves! And can you reflect if there was a past before your life, where was your soul? And only ask the Lord, who can teach you in perfect way, as stabilized you are in a perfect way, The path that you call "Deeds like my character" And they don't burden you, but solve them! You could have existed in every kind of possibility (In infinite world, You could have either be in David's body, or other's body, but You are there) if the soul is depressed, then it should ask himself ("What's there before I came, and as this world came?") And when it becomes happy, then it should glorify the Undefinable!, and know what states of consciousness fit the best for him! the subconscious is the one who sustains the body in every kind of way, and shows how the world like by its feeling state and is the holder of the blitzing thoughts. And there is no body which isn't having any observer in it The other people are different brains, and the spiritual books are only a reminder Inviting to the Causer and Answerer And each man is a soul which controls the body, and it can do all things that matter-based physics execute, and can choose things, but does it do by his own will, or by programmed will? And what's the difference between eternal souls? But you exist in your body! And no possibility can understand the Undefinable! The world is created perfect in its purpose, and what can a soul learn from this? Can soul comprehend having infinite number of his likes? And as Existence is, Everything is a possibility! Yet we have a purpose and a goal to follow! And as afterlife is, so was there a beforelife! And in this life man should adapt into the best way to live! And man can choose many move-into possibilities and evaluate them, and what is a soul without the Undefinable? Brain produces trillions of things in perfect order, perfectly knowing his body and having DNA that improves and doesn't collapse (This type of world is hard to stabilize, and how did it happen? the Undefinable caused its existence) *and a soul that is aware of its moves and eye pixels, that listens to the brain and controls things and chooses by what it knows and by unconnected logic!* *but how could no rules create rules?* *and then manifest even more rules (which are limited)* *and make from it compact creation* *and the rules work perfectly, atoms connect perfectly, things get compact and perfectly smart enough, and it has an observer in it* *And by the Existence, and by the space allowing matter containing physics, and By them stabilizing, and having bodies containing observer! Can Infinity be dynamic? Glory be to the Undefinable!* but the man today is malnourished lacking vitamin D3, Vitamins B group (from B1 to Nitrilosides) and lacking iodine, and vitamin k2 And is fed with seed oils and synthetic creations, and anti-nutrients Good examples are in everything natural, and wheatgrass, and fruit seeds and coconuts and pumpkins and in fermented foods (one is rich in everything, and another one has nitrilosides (Cyanide, Benzaldehyde, Glucose) and cells that break down them into good things, and another one increases your life will, and another one is an awesome healing food, and another one has increased rate of goods in exchange of sugar, and contains bacteria, that also produce a lot of serotonin and continue their job inside guts) Each area feels differently, and they all give a different way of life have you seen animals who can contact with man? have you tried asking the Causer of Existence to give you a way to glorify him then actually doing it? And feeling how does it go? And by the personality of Man! The Body and Intuition serves the Observer rebelled by ego that chooses by the worst! But Observer is the Decider of its body! Only the Lord knows about those who don't have beginning and end! And by the intuition and creativity with inspiration! And indeed the greatest practices besides praying and high intensity&high progress work is contemplating about being existent in this body and place and observing how you function And do the goods so they become your goods! If otherwise, then think about infinite souls possibility! And Ask the Lord to give you the way! The other great practice is going to a quiet place, then stopping all bodily moves Every deed is a reflection of their mind-state, and nobody knows the truth you need except Lord, Have you not heard that prayers are answered? If they aren't then how will the others lead you to the right way? Most of them follow only their opinion, yet aren't observant over their existence and stability! The Undefinable has created everything in this world as it is, and only The Stabilizer of Matter can answer how it all works, all other people give illusion to your mind! Except if it gives great peace. And you choose the ones who will have an image and control in your life. And you have always existed. And you have a purpose! In the beginning of all paths (the generalized paths, the state of a purely clean mind) you can choose 2 of them Path of shortsightedness (The Enslaved, Robot-like) 1.Illusion (and all of them contribute in what they think about, and indeed you should go your ways, and observe everything around you and possibilities that happen in the world, the better people are chosen as those who become good despite being in bad position, and don't worry about paradise, in this state just observe how your subconscious will behave, and free yourself of anything that restricts you, And only ask The Undefinable for knowledge, Because he is the only answerer! You can call Lord by any name, And free yourself of people you have no union in spiritual likeness, they can have bad restrictions) 2.Stubborness (those feel like they're near a very deep hole, those are the people which go towards the worse ways, and if they reject their Existence then you will understand what ego actually is) 3.Evildoing and evil-spreading (the area near them feels like scary darkness! Their subconscious is sad, yet they aren't able to understand it) Or Path of blissful freedom of choosing power and choosing charge (The controller of life and blessed in Existence): 1.Choosing the best (Everything is a possibility! The man is with life, and the The Undefinable has caused existence out of nothing! And even the astray ones go by the best in what they haven't been brainwashed yet) 2.Knowledgeable (The state of all this-date greats, all of them feel bliss and power, and they see many things in this life, and can do some of hard things that result in great gain, and You can only rely on the The Lord, By yourself and by the truly good ones, And indeed you can plan the events be in the way you would like them to be! As a soul is free, so shall it be freed from anything that restrict it! An example of it is just by changing and charging your body doing the goal) 3.Master of Life (This is a stage of life-control where the man never fails! in this state the man can shape-make anything as they have imagined! their words are joyously-burning to each man like sun's light burns eyes, They have total control over their life! And is it our body controlling everything we think? What does a soul in this body do things what a bot could make? But we are existent in our bodies, and Reason found its connections! And everything is possible in this timeless existence! They have achieved a total control of the mind!) By the way how subconscious feels so is the man's mind-state! To this life we came to live, not wait for death! By Existence and possibilities: Who can give goods as perfectly as the Stabilizer in regards as the Man deserves? That gave Solomon control over areas he saw, And guidance equivalent of it can give man even better! and what made anything happen? and the causing to happen? Only Undefinable is the Lord, other than that are the likes of yourself, as they are definable by this reality, And remember that your subconscious knows the truth it needs and knows the possibilities in subtle way, And only seek the truth in the way how the world executes! And can you comprehend the realities if other possibilities happen? The guided ones don't need to seek paradise, as the Causer of Existence is with them, Everything there is a part of the Existence!! In each way that has been deeply gone into glorifies the Undefinable! And by the silence waves for the observant man, and by the successes he gets for being vigorous, And all the trials that he endures are just a part of Life. Salaamun Alaykum. In Sura Rum aya 17 Allahh commanded us to glorify Him in the morning and in the evening. Other specific ayas are- Sura Ale-Imran aya 41, Sura Al-An'am aya 52, Sura Al-A'raaf aya 205, Sura Hud aya 114, Sura Bani Israel aya 78, Sura Kahf aya 28, Sura Maryam aya 11 & 62, Sura Noor aya 36, Sura Al-Ahzaab aya 42, Sura Al-Ghaafir aya 55, Sura Al-Fath aya 9, And so on... Sura Furkan aya 5 says, noticing our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) practicing/ remembering Dhikr, the pagan Quraish made an allegation against him that someone had been teaching him ancient history/ 'fairy tales' in those two times of the day! Later they converted the prescribed Qu'ranic Salah to 'authentic Jewish prayer' quoting Abu Huraira, Ibn Abbas, Zubair and others in defense and put it in the hadith books. And, that made us completely blind even with wide-open eyes! Here comes the importance of watching YT93 of the 'Marvelous Quran' youtube channel again and again! When reading the Book of Salah (my understanding is it's full of contradictions!) by 'Bukhari' again recently, one question popped up in my mind- why he/ they had to write a whole book on how to perform Salah if there had been 'practicing Muslims' at that time! However, I've stopped performing ritualistic '5-time Namaz', prescribed in the hadith books, since March this year after watching several videos on 'Authentic Jewish Prayer'. Those Jewish prayer videos made me shocked and I asked myself- how come it's possible that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) used to pray in that same way! Besides, when I was trying to understand the meaning of ayat 43 & 56 of Surah Ahzab, where it is said that Allahh is sending Salat to His messenger, it was quite clear to me that it could't possibly be the ritualistic prayer we use to do 5 times a day! By the grace of Allahh, each day I'm learning and dedicatedly trying to practice 'Qunoot (spiritual silence). Since March I use to make everyday du'aa sent by Dr. Hany and try to read some ayas from the Qu'ran whenever possible. May Allahh be pleased with our continuous efforts to become 'Muhtadi'.

All of the words of the Qur'an that are meant to make our characters better, be one with ourselves and humanity, have been corrupted by Bukhari and many others to become mere religious rituals. Repeating the Golden Rule five times a day does not put the principle into practice!

The problem of trying to prove the natural death of Jesus is that one has to first disprove his Miraculous birth. I really pity the children of Israel. To accept a Messiah who was not born naturally and indeed in most humans eyes, an illegitimate birth, is a very very tough test from Allah. If this test was on Muslims, they would have very likely failed as well.
@truehikma2 жыл бұрын
Jesus was indeed born naturally from father and mother and NOT a virgin birth. The Qur'an testifies that he was a human, ate food, and was born like all of mankind is born.

Understanding 2.65
@truehikma2 жыл бұрын
It is about behaviour and not a physical transformation. Sly as a fox, Slippery as an eel. etc should be borne in mind when understanding this verse. Read in context the meaning: 2:63 (O Children of Israel) We accepted your solemn pledge, and We made Mount Sinai tower above you (as witness) saying, “Hold fast unto what We have given you, and take to heart what is therein, so that you may live aright.” 2:64 Then, even after that, you turned away. And were it not for the bounty of God upon you and His grace, you would have been undone. 2:65 You are well aware of those among you who broke the Sabbath, whereupon We said to them, “Be you held in contempt like apes!” [For social and ecological reasons and to inculcate the sanctity of the laws in their hearts, they had been commanded to desist from fishing or working on Saturdays and to strengthen their social ties rather than going after business on that day (4:154, 7:163-167, 16:124). Persistent indiscipline is more befitting of an apish, rather than human mentality. (4:47, 4:154, 5:60). Note: Strangely enough, some ancient, and even modern commentators like Maududi, maintain that they were physically transformed into apes!] 2:66 We made this degradation a lesson for them in their times, and for the future generations, and an admonition for those who seek to live aright. [Wa’z = Admonition that softens the hearts] 2:67 And remember, Moses said to his people, “God commands you to sacrifice a cow.” They said, “Do you mock us?” He replied, “I seek shelter with God from being among the ignorant who mock people.” [Slaughtering a cow clashed with Pharaoh’s pagan inclinations of worshiping Osiris, the Bull-god. Worshiping the golden calf. 2:54, 7:152]

"Strive hard with patient perseverance", is not a negative 'just accept your fate', but a clear statement about how to tackle life's problems. Accept things go wrong but know how to cope with them and do not lose hope. What is not acceptable is to use the ways of jahiliya that pervades the 'muslim' world, which has led to their demise. Learning what is right is the best medicine.

Yes, there is definitely something about Islam, even when going through really tough trials. Find time and go study the Quran and you will find such verses: 40:39 My people, this worldly life is only temporary enjoyment, but the Hereafter is the lasting home. 18:46 Wealth and children are adornments of this worldly life, but the enduring good deeds produce a greater reward from your Lord and a better hope. 2:155 We will certainly send you trials of fear, hunger, and the loss of wealth, people and crops, so give good news to the steadfast, Nobody can really teach what those verses really mean except you... because you will definitely experience them yourself. And after you have gone through those experiences and then when you read them in the Quran... you will have had the wisdom (hikmah) ! salam.

I'm sorry but this,is,wrong. Jinns are not human.. they are the unseen... in 18:50 Allah told the angels to bow but iblis refused... meaning ibis is an angel created from fire.. for in that verse he commanded angels.. and in 7:27 for Adam cannon see the tribe but the tribe (jinn) can see us.. so jinns are not of mankind they are angel created from fire or smokeless flames since Satan is of the jinns so it proves there are many... and as for messengers. Muhammed recited the quran in the gathering of jinns and those jinns received the message and went to sent the warning to their kind.. so those jinns that heard and went are the messengers... I see where your trying to go go but that is assumptions and you know what the Quran says about assumptions.. so jinns are not human.. the word jinn means a hidden thing in arabic.. also quranic miracles is something science approach cannot understand for part of faith is to believe in these miracles (signs/ayat)..
@truehikma2 жыл бұрын
When we read the Qur'an from the Qur'an alone and cross reference it to remove contradictions, the jinn cannot be some other invisible creature. The Qur'an says it is guidance for mankind so cannot direct guidance towards 'aliens', for want of a better word. The iblis verses were mentioned in my video, iblis and shaitaan. kzbin.info/www/bejne/noqqh55_a52ad80 They are metaphorical and not literal . Also, if the jinns went to their people then you are saying there are jewish jinn, and christian jinn, and by analogy atheist, agnostic, hindu, etc so we are getting into a lord of the rings fantasy when the Qur'an is quite clear what they are IF WE DO NOT READ IT WITH FALSE TRADITIONS CLOUDING OUR JUDGEMENT. BASHAR = human form. JINN = human social characteristics.

Very good. The Quran also says GOD does not like the aggressors, and most places where messengers sin, they are also shown to seek forgiveness. So I think if Moses actually pulled the beard, he would have begged forgiveness for that action.
@Bouda_sr2 жыл бұрын
Read the entire context. Moses was super angry when he saw what was happening. He definitely grabbed him by the beard. That’s why Allah said it.
@truehikma2 жыл бұрын
So the Sky and earth can really speak with human words because Allah said it: 41:11 Likewise, He is the One Who designed well the Sky when it was Smoke (Nebulae of gas). And He said to it and the earth, "Come both of you willingly or unwillingly." They said, "We do come, obedient." Context does not negate the use of a metaphor for what Allah wanted us to learn from this verse, the major point being about sects, which I covered in a previous video, and Moses chastising Aaron for letting things get out of hand.
@adrianabonitaaziz2 жыл бұрын
I don't agree . A beard is a beard. And I think that this explains how angry Musa was about this , that he even embarressed his own brother in front of the wrong doers and I see this as an example for us . But , of course , Allah knows best . Peace .

Aaron was sent by Allah along with Moses to the Egyptians so he had authority as well. It is unbecoming of one Messenger to treat another in this way so I prefer the metaphorical meaning rather than the literal. I could be boiling with anger at your disagreement but I will calm the waters by agreeing to disagree. LOL

@@truehikma I watch every material you present here. And I really appreciate your work and analysis. But, I have, sometimes impressions, that you and others who stick to Qur'an only, get to the same kind of trap, as sectarians do for more than 1400 years, explaining and engaging in details which are not important and, most probably, we will not be judged by them. Another trap is that of the in infallibility of Prophets/messengers which is a sectarian innovation. See verses 17:73, 74 and 75 which are prove of FALLIBILITY. What I am trying to say is that your knowledge, which is obvious, is to be used in clarifying issues which are wrongly explained and are very important for progress and betterment of people and furthermore are very important for us when we will be judged on the Judgement Day. And finally the so called ULEMAs should not be your target, because they have abandoned Qur'an for more than 1400. The ultimate prove are verses 31:6, 45:6 and 77:50 where God EXCLUDES all hadiths, but so called ULEMAs ignore that EXCLUSION and furthermore they use only Hadiths.

@@salihahmetaj Salam and thank you for your well thought out comments. I too have had reservations regarding what I should present but if it is from the Qur'an then it is not unimportant. Even minor points like beard pulling teaches us which side of the 'thinking' fence we are on and keeps us on our toes about what and how we understand it. I do get your point about sticking to major issues but pennies add up to pounds. The taking of the beard pulling as a metaphor has nothing to do with infallibility of Messengers as they were all human and prone to err, as you quite rightly state the Qur'an saying, and Moses did get angry before hearing what Arron had to say. As for those ulemas!!!!!! They are the ones that have completely destroyed the Wisdom of Allah's Book and made the 'ummah' engage in endless rituals, so they are the number one target that must be addressed. The 'ummah' that follow them need to see this so I do try to present what I understand of the Qur'an and the reason why it has not been shown in this way. Again, many thanks for your comments and I appreciate you watching my videos.
@salihahmetaj2 жыл бұрын
@@truehikma I agree with everything you have said, but there are maybe some misunderstandings as I did not, maybe, expressed clearly. Targeting ULEMAs in order to convince them that they are wrong is useless. They will not give a more of 1400 years of deviation for anything. I think that I made clear what type of targeting I am against. Pulling the beard metaphorically or literally doesn't add or subtract to someone's believe. In that sense for me is not important and furthermore to be on the safe side literal meaning is, for me, to be given priority in this case. I agree that every single word in Qur'an is of a highest importance, but people, including me, are most interested how to be successful on the Judgement Day. This is of the paramount importance. Therefore if we could extract "the minimum requirements" from Qur'an to be successful at that DAY is the most important issue to resolve and understand. After that or alongside with that we can dwell in metaphorical or literal meanings. Maybe I am not right, but I see things this way. And furthermore, in my opinion, by explaining these main issues required many more people will engage in studying and learning from Qur'an. Once again I really appreciate your work and God bless you for your efforts and engagement.

Salamun Alaikum I want to understand the meaning of Al Hamdu lillah please enlighten me
@truehikma2 жыл бұрын
I would prefer comments on the topic but since you have asked then here your praiseworthy answer: hamd is the feeling that is created within the human breast at seeing a very rare and very delightful sight or thing. This hamd is an appreciation of the Creator of that beautiful thing. This has few conditions which have been related by the author of Muheet as follows. 1} the thing that is being acclaimed and lauded must be a palpable and physical thing. That which cannot be felt can never gain our acclamation i.e. which is good in concept only, such as “مقام محمود” (maqami mahmod), “صفات محمود” (sifaat mahmood) etc. even though they have been mentioned in the Quran. For example we can only appreciate an artist or painter through his works which come before our eyes in palpable form and we cannot laud his concept only. As such, the Quran has as sarcasm upon those who merely want praise for themselves instead of doing something constructive and then let their works be praised. 3:187 They want to be praised on the basis of the work that they do not produce. یُحِبُّوْنَ اَنْ یُحْمَدُوْا بِمَالَمْ یَفْعَلُوْا 2} the praise for somebody’s work must be voluntary, so that the individual ego of he who is praising can also be gauged i.e. whether it is magnanimous enough to praise good work by another. Automatic work or quality which is inherent or incumbent even if it is good does not produce the right occasion for hamd. So much so that the word hamd is not used for beauty and excellence that is present inherently and has necessarily to be acquired. If the qualities are present of their own, then the word “مَدَحَ” (madah) is used instead of hamd. “مَدَحَ الْجَمَالَ” (madah-al jamal): if a machine is producing fine things then that machine is not fit for hamd but madah, but producer of the will be deserving hamd. This is also the case with a peacock’s dance. The peacock deserves madah for the dance and the peacock’s Creator deserves hamd. 3} For true hamd it is also necessary that the thing that is being praised is also actually liked by the one who is praising or is close to his heart; to praise someone because of some pressure is not hamd but it is madah. Hamd does not encompass any sort of deceit, fabrication, pretense or hypocrisy or soft-soaping. In hamd the acclaim comes to the surface involuntarily. 4} the thing that is being praised must also be very much correct i.e. it must deserve to be praised. Hamd cannot take place only on the basis of some vague concept. Hamd can never be done for un-clear concepts, ambiguous outlines, and on the basis of doubt and hesitation. Hamd does not arise out of deceit, concept, superstition and blind faith. It is based on solid belief and faith, but madah can also be done for opinions, but not hamd. 5} the things of benefit, delight and balanced beauty that are being praised or for which hamd is being undertaken must have reached perfection and their benefit must be felt and acknowledged. At which is not beneficial to human beings or art which has not reached perfection cannot be praised. For instance the sleight of hand of a pick pocket cannot be praised because it is not beneficial for human beings although it may be perfect. Hamd is a feeling which meets the conditions given above. If even one of the above conditions is not there then it will be madah and not hamd. It must be mentioned that the word “ثناء” (sana) can be used both for praise and criticism. “تسبیح” (tasbeeh) means to be engaged in its duty with full attention. The Quran says: 13:13 The thunder lauds Him with its loud sound وَیُسَبِّخُ الرَّعَدُ بِحَمْدِہٖ 30:18 In the highs and lows of the universe all hamd or praise is for Him. وَلَهُ الْحَمْدَفِیْ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ 17:22 that is, there is nothing that does not praise Allah along with performing His tasbeeh وَاِنْ مِّنْ شَیْءٍ اِلَّا یُسَبِیْحُ بِحَمْدِہٖ This means that nothing in the entire universe can abstain from following His laws along with conducting His hamd or praise. Therefore, it means that all forces in the universe are busy in producing beneficial results that are living examples of Allah’s creativity and His praise. This so much that when destructive forces are removed out of the way then that work by itself deserves praise. As such it is said about the destruction of oppressive nations: 6:25 The oppressive nations were routed and Allah the nurturer of the universe deserves all praise or hamd. فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِیْنَ ظَلَمُوْا وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ That is why it has been said about Allah that He is “عَزِیْزٌ” (aziz) as well as “حَمِیْدٌ” (hadeed). This means that He is fine or delicate, as well as hard and tough (14:1). He is the remover of destructive forces out of the way to make the beneficial aspects manifest so that they become living examples of Allah’s hamd and praise. At another place it is said: 64:1 every sort of authority belongs to Him لَهُ الْمُلْکُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ He is also the fountainhead of every kind of grandeur and beauty. It is also one of the traits of the believers that they are “حَامِدُوْنَ” (hamidoon) as described in 9:112. This means that they are known to do hamd or sing Allah’s praise, for this purpose man has been given the knowledge of the names (or qualities) of Allah, or the knowledge of natural elements, because when the malaika or the forces of the universe said to Allah: 2:30 we are always busy in Your hamd or praise (Allah’s praise). وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِکَ Then it was said in reply from Allah: 2:31 Adam [man] has been given the knowledge about all things in nature or in the universe وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الْاَسْمَاءَ کُلَّهَا But this knowledge can become operational only if he keeps this knowledge under obedience of the celestial message or the wahi. That is why he was told that: 2:38 the nation that follows the guidance of Allah will be safe from fear and grief فَمَنْ تَبِعَ هُدَایَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَیْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ یَحْزَنُوْنَ This is the said “مَقَاماً مَحْمُوْداً” (maqaman mahmoodan) or the happy place situation (17:79). This means a position which is completely deserving of hamd or praise, and that was attained by our beloved Messenger Muhammed. He himself was called “اَحْمَدُ” (Ahmad) in (61:6), which means one who was given greatly to conduct hamd or praise (of Allah). Some think that it means who himself is greatly praised, and this later became “مُحَمَّدٌ” (Muhammed) (48:26), that means one who is continuously the reason for hamd and praise, i.e. one who is praised for one quality after the other. The prophet of Allah was also named “مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللّٰہِ” (muhammadar-rasul Allah) 48:26 i.e. Muhammed, the Messenger of Allah. The book named Kitabul Ashqaaq says that Muhammed means the one who is praised constantly, while Mahmood is the one who gets praised only once. The book Aqrabul Muwarid says that Muhammed means one who possesses many different praiseworthy traits. If we deliberate on the meanings of the first verse of the Quran that is: 1:1 Allah is the praiseworthy Sustainer of the worlds. اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ In the light of the above given definitions of the word hamd then we can see how the Quran has revealed the universal truth before man, that every creation in the universe is a season or occasion for hamd or praiseworthiness of Allah who is nurturing everything from its initial stages to its ultimate end. Obviously then hamd is not just a reason for emotional response but a living truth that is arrived at by deliberation upon things in the universe. Thus, a nation that does not deliberate upon the system of the universe cannot be able to appreciate the excellence of the Creator. How can he then hope to understand how things in the universe are praiseworthy? For example we can only appreciate an artist or painter through his works which come before our eyes in palpable form and we cannot laud his concept only. As such the Quran has as sarcasm upon those who merely want praise for themselves instead of doing something constructive and then let their works be praised. “To sing the praises of Allah” is not just a verbal praising session but it is in fact a practical program i.e.to sing praises of Allah means to give practical shape to a system in society that Allah has ordained (and that which has been manifested by the last prophet of Allah i.e. Muhammed) and to make it produce miraculous results such as those which the whole world instantly recognizes and appreciates and cries out that undoubtedly the God or Allah Who has given such laws to humanity following which can produce such results indeed deserves unlimited praise.

Hellfire is coming but as a teaser it is more a state of continual regret and ever occurring loss.
