This is my most used polish. This, Ultimate Compound, and SwirlX were the first abrasives I used with the random orbital back in 2011or so. Efote that it was M02 and M09 on the rotary. While Ultimate Polish delivers some of the best gloss I've been able to achieve, it can actually do a bit of cutting too. Like Ultimate Compound, the abrasives in the formula do not diminish, or break down into finer and finer particles. Instead they start out sub micron and stay that way. The lubricant is durable enough to survive extended buffing cycles. I actually have an Audi in the garage right now that's in for a one step polish and a coating. I tried a variety of combinations, but this and green Buff and Shine pad was the winning combination. I tried Jescar Medium Polish on the same pad and tool (Porter Cable 7424xp), then on Rupes Duetto / 21, a yellow Buff and Shine Uro-Tec, then Uro-Fiber. Then I tried 3D ONE. Then back to the PC + green pad with Optimum Intensive Polish. I was trying to get the best bend of cut and finish, which can be a tall order sometimes. The green pad from Buff and Shine is the same foam as the Chemical Guys Hex Logic. I find this pad to cut much better than their yellow and orange pads. I usually use them for compounding, but they still work great with a polish for one steps. When finishing with Ultimate Polish, I use the blue Buff and Shine / Hex Logic usually. But this also works great on the more modern pads and polishes too.

Good to know man, I just picked up a 20 oz bottle of ultimate polish for $6 at Ross 😆.
@danlc954 ай бұрын
@STILLNIGHTPEARL - You'll want to shake the hell out of it, if it leaves "deposits" on yhe paint that are difficult to wipe off. It's usually from not getting the ingredients properly mixed in the bottle, but once you do, it wipes off with ease.
@STILLNIGHTPEARL4 ай бұрын
@@danlc95 thanks man! it smells kind of like the bottle of 06 that I picked up recently, I don’t feel many abrasives between my finger tips, I’m assuming it’s more of a chemical cleaner/light polish. I’m probably going to use this on my 2018 accord, I really just want to clean the paint up, not looking for any correction beyond that, Meguiar’s 5 inch yellow disc on my 8mm throw DA speed 4-5 should be enough.

Hi , I just bought this - Question , when you’re using it on dash , is there a lot of water coming out ? My reservation is how it can damage the electrical components - Is it just air and steam coming out ? Or water as well

It's old, but it's still the best polish Meguiar's have ever come up with. Follow up with Gold Class Carnauba, M21 Sealant, or Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax for even more gloss and protection.

I think your going way too slow polishing. Its like your compounding. Anyway everyone does it differently.

When I use compound I won't do as much work with the polish, but when it's just polish I'll work through it a little slower.

Maybe try spraying some type of degreaser before hitting it with the steam to help loosen up that stuck on dirt and grime. Especially in the door jams and sills as that seemed especially hard to remove
