The problem is a huge portion of football fans don't watch or support womens football. They usually laugh at it. I think women football is growing global, but it still has a way to go before it is seen as equal with the men's. As for the medal situation that seems like RFEF problem. Spain is extremely problematic when it comes to the women's football.

I'm not a fan of FC Barcelona but I'm a big fan of women's soccer in general. What I saw there is such a disgrace and disrespectful of the Spanish FA. But luckily it doesn't happen everywhere and the women are recognized and celebrated for what they do.

Level of referriing in Women Football is even more embarasing. Respect cannot come there since the winner quite often do not deserve they 'win'.

I agree that this situation with the Barca women is deplorable. I hate to say it, but I watch a lot of women’s football, and the difference between teams in Italian and Spanish women’s leagues and the UK or the US, is like night and day. The fan turnout for finals in the UK and US is usually double that of the Spanish and Italian ones, and the celebrations are huge, with fireworks and proper award presentations. I do agree, though that across the board among both groups, there needs to be much more done. I see it especially in the coverage of women’s sports. I have had to purchase streaming services for the European games, and I’ve had to really search to find coverage for North American and UK games. Some streaming is free and is usually of mediocre quality, and in every case, I have to search deep into the app or service just to find the women’s games. These apps/streaming sites are swamped with men’s sport. Thank you for your support for the women’s game and for your appreciation for the quality of their play. I wish more men were like you.

Barcelona is the most feared club in all of Europe but their club and country is not milking money off their success and duo ballon d'or squad. barca plays the most complicated intelligent and swiftess football. We keep talking about Spain and their misogyny and disrespect but nothing changes even after most of the squad won the last world cup. If Barca was in England and winning a treble if they win the FA cup, wembley would be sold out (which it was for manUnited vs Tottenham). It's sad....but nothing changes, there's no Spanish advocates

SoFlo Soccer, it looks like you haven't done your due diligence research and you are talking out of ignorance, so please do. The Spanish federation agreed with the clubs, both male and female that due to TV times contracts, making a whole ceremony of giving the medals and the trophy would be too lengthy and take too much TV time. Therefore they agreed to show only the giving of the trophy celebration, which is more important. The same happened in the male version Copa del Rey won this year 2024 by Atletic de Bilbao, the medals were given quickly by the team staff also from a Spanish Federation bag, there is plenty of videos of that in KZbin as well. So there you go, both men and women were treated the same. Having said that, is not that I disagree with you. I totally agreed they should allow more TV time to do a whole nice ceremony and do it properly, again, for both men and women, is what all champions in any sport be it women or men deserve after the hard road to be the winners.
