I always assumed they rerecorded because Electra Records owned the original.

Overall, Asomvel sounds like themselves- the Motörhead influence is somewhat undeniable, but it is primarily visual- overall, they sound like themselves. It's great to see. (And hear.)

I love you, Chris, but Peace Sells is way better than Master. I know the circumstances weren't great but it is the best metal album ever.

Had Jeff Young as a private lesson teacher years ago, and the guy is an absolute asshat. Everyone of his students hated him and he got fired from MI because of it.

18:12 Yes, same for me. In my opinion best Metallica album. Just imagine how this album would sound if Cliff didn't die and played bass on this album.

It's wild, I'm a major fan of pentagram, but I love "doom" and specifically for the reasons he doesn't like it aside from smoking lol. But the repetitiveness of it is what I like lol I don't listen to any other genres or any other subgenres of rock. Saint Vitus being an example of the slow repetitive 8 min songs that he describes yet are my favorite lol

Great interview. Agreed, as legendary as it is, The Law album, I felt the tones were really paper thin, like slicing off a huge chunk of the guitars, zero mid rage, and the snare sounds even more triggered than before. something obviously went wrong. Its funny because Kyle says its awful sounding while Vinny and Chris Nail see it as somewhat of an improvement from Slaughter...I personally think Slaughter is better sounding of the two production wise, I get that both records ended up robbing them of their original sound but at least its not as obvious on Slaughter.
