Brilliant!!!! Great work straightening and cleaning up that series of drop target switches! LOL @ the wire over the fuse! It's nuts to me that people would do that... So much work, but you are getting there!

Urrgh, the wire over the fuses thing, I've seen that at least a 100 times now. I've seen the consequences of it as well, burnt coils, even burnt playfields. 1980's arcade operators were the worst for bodging stuff 🤣

@@arcadeuk I think the problem is love for profit vs love for the hardware lol! And, the lack of foresight that proper maintenance can = more profit as less downtime etc.

Man Luke, I've never worked on a pinball machine before but I can see and imagine how time consuming and frustrating it can be to track down all of those issues. Really cool to see it come back to life slowly and to watch the trouble shooting process. I hope you are having a good start to the New Year (minus the pinball trauma lol) and looking forward to the next vid!

Nope, I got totally ripped off. People on the forums were saying "it's worth twice that" 🙄 when the seller listed it for sale, and he tried selling it to multiple people at the same time so I had to rush to buy it (as it was one I have been after for ages) and got scammed. Learnt a valuable lesson about not rushing into something just because it's "rare"

You, and the machine as well I might add, are very lucky you are so very very well skilled into resurrecting this poor lady. In the end you'll end up with a wonderful pinball. Sucking up the pain getting there is something else ;)

The green goo is a reaction between the plasticiser in the insulation in the wire as it breaks down with age, and mixes with the copper in the wire. It comes out of the ends of the wire and you find it on your pins and connectors.

@@arcadeuk I found on these Bally and Stern games is to re pin the connectors on the voltage supply board and all the .156 connectors then up grade to LEDS. My next project is a 8BDLX as I have the new hard top overlay.

@ Yeah, youtube will have been a bit over 2 years old at this point. I had to look back at what camera phones existed back at this time, so this would have probably been recorded on a Sony W850i phone at the time, on it's amazing 240p camera 🤣

Ozone generator machine. You can get them on Amazon I haven't actually got rid of the smell yet, it is going to need several treatments for sure
