That's amazing! I'm amazed by your groove. Do you have any training on rhythm, groove, methods that explain how you got it? I'd pay for it. If you're not in the mind, I'd love to know some of your secrets.

In the early 2000's, I met Marco at a gig he played with the Negroni Brothers at Blues Alley in Washington, DC. In addition to playing his ass off, he was a super-nice guy who gladly answered questions. And...for anyone who hasn't heard that duo recording, buy it! Thanks for this interview, Harvey S! Edited to Add: I love this comment of his..."I will say yes to the challenge and get to the shed." What a spirit🙏🏽

Wow Chip finally got a little weight on him....always one of my favorite bassists that Elvin had...working for Elvin as a tech I had a few opportunities to meet Chip who came to listen and check his old boss out...one night hanging with the Billy Taylor Trio at the Jazz Alley in Seattle, and one night at the Blue Note in NYC hanging in the dressing room; a cool guy, and consumate gentleman! Thanks for this clip!! aka Jack Chipson
