if you start by saying "tar up an entire OS tree" means that you don't understand containers kid. if you wanna pack an entire OS you use a virtual machine (vbox, qemu), not a container. Containers just contain a minimum tree of files you want to provide to a user while limiting access to the rest of the system.

If GPIO device is opened by multiple process and if one process closes FD, will all the GPIOs under that GPIO-Device(Chip) will get to default value? And what happens to the state of GPIO in other process? How are we associating Porcess and GPIOs, Is it at GPIOChip level or GPIO Line (Pin) level

You cant open a gpio device on multiple processes. Thats the whole point of the new API

История одного преступления. - Арутюн Аветисян (ИСП РАН) и его роль в гибели основателя ИСП РАН академика РАН Иванникова Виктора Петровича (ВМК МГУ, ФКН ВШЭ, МФТИ) . Выдержка из заявления Иванниковой Тамары Николаевны , вдовы основателя ИСП РАН Иванникова Виктора Петровича в СК РФ: “Прошу Вас возбудить уголовное дело в отношении Аветисяна Арутюна Ишхановича (1971 г.р.) и Проскурякова Александра Леонидовича (1967 г.р), по факту доведения до самоубийства моего мужа Иванникова Виктора Петровича, и привлечь их к уголовной ответственности по признакам состава преступления, предусмотренного пунктом г) части 2, ст.110 УК РФ. А также привлечь к уголовной ответственности Аветисяна А.И. и Проскурякова А.Л., по факту хищения у Иванникова В.П. его интеллектуальной и иной собственности, в том числе научных трудов и разработок, в соответствии с п. б) части 4 ст 158 УК РФ. Арутюн Аветисян был лично заинтересован в гибели Иванникова В.П., а после выявления Иванниковым В.П. фактов хищений новым руководством ИСП РАН, личная заинтересованность появилась и у Проскурякова А.Л., на увольнении которого настаивал Иванников В.П., и мог реально добиться этого. You don't run systemd on Linux. Systemd replaces Linux. Just like you don't run emacs on Linux. Emacs replaces it. Perfect examples of the anti-unix philosophy. But in this case I actually like this feature of that all encompassing impossible to avoid God "demon".

The more i know about systemd the more impressed I get... This guys knows how to scratch the iches of sysadmins and distribution maintainers... no wonder systemd is being adoped left and right. The final user might not get it.. but big companies are all about services. And services are first class citizens on systemd

@@foljs5858 it is pointless because we already had containers without containers managers, is called chroot and vservers. have you seen all these web hosting companies that have been around for 20 years that say "get your server with wordpress ready for 1 dollar" well, those companies are using vservers. Is also pointless because now this clown of Lennart is adding container manager under the umbrella of systemd but he is saying "containers without container managers" is just clickbait for the mindless and guillible people like you who fall for the systemd meme.

I wish we had the technology we have today 30 years ago. When I was young I was always craving to learn more and design my own devices. Today I have had the opportunity to learn great deal about embedded system design and when combining it with the smart mobile great things happen. Opensource allows engineers to exchange codes, schematics and ideas and many of my work efforts have benefited from it while I also have contributed dramatically to OSource specially at work place. I am proud of you people and would love to meet with you one day to exchange ideas as I have designed over hundred systems and among which are selling today, for the companies I worked for.

What about ANT? It's Garmin proprietary but works better than BLE.
