@anmaria87 My grandfather was born in 1918. When he was born he became Dimich, since it was the kingdom of yugoslavia, when the bulgarians (WW2) came he became Dimov, and then when we finally achieved (limited) independence in 1945 he finally became Dimovski. What happened in Aegean Macedonia from 1912, when it was given to the greeks, up until modern times (today included) is an exodus the likes of which can only be found in what happened to the muslims in Spain, when they were cleared out.

@anmaria87 mm well what I was trying to get across was that Macedonia (the country) was and for some countries is known as FYROM only Because of stupid diplomatic fights between Macedonia and Greece. Have you heard of Socialist Republic of Macedonia? why was there no problem with that between macedonia and Greece?

@batispecela Anyway, no heart feelings, its fine, believe as you wish :)! I just commented maybe without second thought. What is the matter with Sweden? At any case I didn't say that I'm qualified or something similar I shared my experience. I thought it's not common knowledge and official that the FYROM is called now "Macedonia" like the north part of Greece, since there are disputes taking that name.
