I heard this song performed live several years ago at a Passim open mic. I didn't know who Rachel was. But I always remembered this haunting/perfect song about radium girls, despite hearing it a single time. 3-ish years later, I'm finally hearing it again! omg 🤯🤯🤯

I knew this story - but my partner had never heard of the atrocity and burst into tears as we listened. The arrangement is amazing and the ballad - as a whole - is stunning. Your poetry captures the tragedy, the fiddle's discordant harmony is perfect, and the twist of 'Curie' (rather than Kyrie) is ... brilliant. Mdm Curie have mercy, indeed. Looking forward to more great folk music from you.

In front of my x-ray tech school is a memorial for all the people who died from x-rays before its dangers were completely understood. I understand why the radium girls aren't listed on there (same with Chernobyl liquidators) I think they should get their own memorial.
